Putin Annexes Baltics for Kaliningrad

In a surprising move, Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian Army to annex the Baltics, where the local forces put up little resistance before surrendering. "The response to Crimea was weak", stated Putin. "The sanctioned bank actually benefited, and the CPRF are pissed off at Obama, because none of them made the sanction list."

"I support the annexation of the Baltics" stated Zyuganov. "Maybe now I'll make the sanction list!"

The Russian feelings on the situation are mixed. Russian economic analyst, Sergey Glazyev, pointed out that annexing the Baltics has little value, aside from giving the Poles a heart attack. "Geopolitically they're worthless. It was unnecessary!" Glazyev said.

Yet Putin remains determined to hold on to the new regions. "It's a nice way for us to get to Kaliningrad, without passing through customs. We simply needed a clear path. As for Latvia and Estonia, why not? By the time the Estonians realized what's going on, we were in Talinn. Yesterday Crimea. Today the Baltics. Tomorrow the World!"

I agree with Glazyev. They're worthless geopolitically, and I don't think that any country should invade other countries simply to troll Poland. Unless they're invading Poland :P

Joke kind of failed on me for obvious reasons.

I mean, yeah, it was a great one, but, no, sorry, the point of april fool's jokes is for them to be believable for a second. Sorry, mate.

Luckily, the Germans moved to contain the brutal Russian aggression on the Baltic area by annexing Austria, Poland and Denmark. When Austria protested saying that they are rather far from the Baltic Sea, the Germans changed the name of Lake Neusiedl to "Neu-Ostsee". The move pissed off Hungary because Germany hasn't invaded them yet, though.
And then BKz Merkel ordered Czech Republic and Slovakia to unite again... so Germany can invade Czechoslovakia. It's traditional, after all.

In the meanwhile, PM Renzi of Italy is trying to sell the Veneto region to Russia, but Putin doesn't appear much too interested.
