When he was returning to his unit in Baghdad after his mid-tour 2 weeks of leave, the TSA stopped him, despite the fact that he had his uniform on, his orders and military ID and papers in hand, etc. Do you know WHY they stopped him? Here's what I don't get. Everyone's all up in arms about these rampages, but they make up only a very small percentage of homicides and a tiny portion of all violent crime. When people stab each other, shoot each other and beat each other to death with whatever they can find, there's not much outrage. Well, that is why this shooting won't work as a gun ban one is because one of those unloveable TSA agents died. Not exactly a victim that people feel sorry for given the nature of TSA agents groping people in pat-downs.

So the TSA has confirmed one officer is dead, and another is wounded according to CNN. The suspect is supposedly 23 years old and has addresses listen in CA and NJ. He may have been specifically targeting TSA officers. The gun man was shot three times in the chest, and is in surgery. Witnesses say he asked them if they were TSA, and when they said no, he walked away. I'm gonna try to find sources for all of this, but this is what CNN is saying.

it does actually matter, we can glean alot from what type of gun the person used. it also discredits the reporter if they keep getting stuff from the reports wrong over and over and over.

If it was an actual Assault Rifle (which aren't know for being module or easy to carry) , it was probably a illegal import. why did he get an illegal import to shoot up a TSA checkpoint? how did this not get noiticed before security got to him? does he have a connection to a crime syndicate?

i'm honestly surprised that security checks don't already exist at the front door. granted, it will become a huge pain in the ass but at least do a cursory weapons check.

I think because forcing people to line up outside for up to two hours would be considered cruel and unusual during the winter months.
