North Korea is grossly overqualified as a place for the US to attack. It has something approaching a real military, and is actually near something of real value to the US other than the resources it contains (read: the ROK).

I'm not sure how North Korea is really going to attack the US, or why they'd bother.

The north koreans keep up the anti American rhetoric to make thier population think they are a big deal. Same all over the world. Argentine economy goes to shit so they start talking about the Malvinas. Spanish economy goes to shit they get aggy about Gibraltar.
