A World Without the United States?

Well, without them, there would have been probably only one world war, no cold war (with proxy wars) and no "War against terror".
But also, without them, nearly the whole world would probably be communist by now.
I think, all in all, the States have done as much good as they've harmed the world in history, and now are one of the most important democracies today. But their "War against terror" is perhaps just a masquerade to rip the middle east of its oil, but in any case a stupid waste of money, men and time. Also, it enrages me that they spy the internet and see themselfs as the bastion of Humanrights but still have places like Guantanamo open and the death penalty. So, all in all, I think, the world would be in a better state without them.
