A World Without the United States?

Express your opinion on what you think the world would be like without the United States, Personally, I think it would be in a more horrible state then it is, and please supply the country where you are from, I am from the USA.

Given that the US is literally the centre of the universe, I just don't know how life on earth would cope without it.

i think it would be a better place, no alkieda/terrorists, no world police force, westboro baptist church? lol nope. would not exist.

though i admit i would miss the addition of lincon in the history books. but it would have been replaced with another event over time...

Having no US would admittedly have some amazing effects, but at the same time, it would also have several negative effects. It's kind of hard to determine if the good outweighs the bad here.

It's a stupid, unclear question.

I mean are we talking about waking up tomorrow and the whole thing's been obliterated by a massive sarin attack? Or is the landmass not there? How's about the injuns, are they still knocking about? Or are we talking about the US as a political union in its current state, where the end of the US means the end of the US governemnt and its replacement with something that comes from the massive pre-existing economy and infrastructure of the place, as well as the ingrained loyalties of the people there. Are we talking about no US from today, or from the 18th century, or what?
