Clearly not seeing as how he's still President.

2008 was a landslide, but due to the fact he's made little progress during his Presidency, his win was much narrower in 2012. If the GOP had a good candidate, they would've won. But they didn't.

To me, she just symbolises everything that is wrong with American politics: the issues don't matter anymore, people vote for the person they like the most. It is painfully obvious that Palin lacks the competence necessary to serve well in public office.

But it's got to be all about job creation too.

Which is something the Republicans are for only vocally, never in reality.

Ron Paul would have attracted some votes, but I don't think he would have made a huge difference. and the likelihood of him winning is pretty small, tbh, even if the media had given him greater coverage.

Would have been nice if the media has just given him enough rope to hang himself, so I could quit hearing about his worthless, crazy ass.

They had the best candidate willing to be available. The serious Republicans, like Rubio and Christie and Jindal, didn't want to risk their burgeoning political careers on challenging a President with massive liberal support and lots of experience. So instead, we had clowns like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich throwing their hats in the pile. Sure, there were libertarians like Ron Paul and Tea Partiers like Michelle Bachmann. But for many GOP voters, they were too radical. So instead, they picked the middle-of-the-road, 'let's appease all Republican voters but nobody else' candidate, Mitt Romney. Who cares if he's got barely any experience and has changed most of his policies, he supports our ideals!

Many don't know exactly how crazy he really was... Neo-Nazi support, a stupid foreign policy and his negative comments about Reagan didn't register well in my book. I like his son much more.

People who agree with third parties, but want to steer a main party towards those positions; cross-party primary voters, granted that's usually done as sabotage; some states have open primaries; Wikkis who didn't realize you were talking about the primaries; and lastly the near-extinct actual American independent.

I never liked Romney. He's almost as socialist as Obama, with the added benefit of being a cultist. Even though he wouldn't have tried to destroy our rights in the way that Obama did, he still would've been a disaster.
