I'm a bit late to the celebration (Guess that's what I get for being in the Pacific Time Zone and having a day job

), but I still remember being on the old Radio-Info message board when one of the other participants posted an unsuspecting link stating (IIRC) 'a site where you, yes YOU, get to run your own nation.' This was either late 2002 or very early 2003.

For a short while there was a "Federation of Broadcasters" region where my first nation would reside. I created Scottfire a bit later and hung out in various regions over the years, and this nation, 95X, in 2004. I've been semi-active in Atlantian Oceania since 2006 even though I've been active on the main NS forum for only a short period of time.

I think the greatest testament is how sites (like the original version of the site I mentioned above, LiveJournal, Xanga, MySpace, Facebook, etc.) have come and gone over the years and even entire companies have closed down (Borders, KB, CompUSA, Montgomery Wards, and the like come to mind) but NS is still here, bigger and better than ever. It's been a real pleasure to spend some free time (even and some not-so-free time! :roll:

) here over the years!

Well, Happy 10th Anniversary NationStates!

I still remember back then when I owned a separate nation called Mediterranea; that was 4-5 years ago if I recall correctly. Then I took a few years off (since at that time I got bored with the game) and I came back here earlier this year.

I don't remember much of the days of Mediterranea though, but when I owned it I wasn't even 11.

I first stumbled across NS in 2009, when I was ten. Three years later, aged 13 in 2012, I stumbled across the website again. However, I did not register either time. The third time, I did register. I'm really enjoying NS, and I hope for ten more years of awesomeness.

I have not been on ns for almost a year! and look! ns is turning 10 years old! this is making me feel guilty for not finding this site sooner! then agine. my grades have plummed. so that says how much time I spend on ns. anyway. here is to you mr. max barry. for making ns and causing my grades to drop!
