"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Even better, I'd like to see an Eskimo/Inuit/Yupik president, because they're such an obscure, remote minority not a lot of Americans realize they're natives.

You'd probably see fringe loonies saying they don't qualify because Alaska isn't contiguous to the rest of America.

If a smart Muslim ran against a stupid Christian, I'd vote for the Muslim any day of the week. In my opinion, it just depends on who is running, not the color of his skin or the book he reads. I think my fellows think the same way. But certainly, after the present president fiasco, we won't vote for someone JUST because of the color of their skin or the book he reads.

Why does there need to be more diversity?! I mean Kennedy was Irish, and Nixon was a Quaker! that's diverse enough for me.

I kid, of course.

This exemplifies the mindset that will prevent the election of a female president anytime soon, if at all. It's not a flat-out stated bias, it's a bias of omission - the omission of the female pronoun. It's not that women are actively and deliberately excluded, it's that they aren't thought of in the first place and it's not considered odd or unusual.

I would say the closest one to being achieved is a Woman president, because Clinton came very close to beating Obama for the Dem nomination, and actually would have one if based only on popular vote.

The 2 that I think would come last, if ever, is a Muslim, and a Homosexual president

I think the Republican Party would have been better off with Condoleezza Rice as a candidate instead of Mitt Romney.

Or, ya know, I'm just using the universal "he" for a person of unknown gender, grammatically correct, unlike "they" or "them"

It depends how open they are about it. Same with homosexual and the religions. If no-one knows then it'll just happen.

Secondly,
