Your biggest dating fail

Postby Mad Monarch » Sat Jan 21, 2012 7:46 pm

I am currently planning on asking out a girl at my school this Monday and, predictably, my brain has moved into "you are going to fuck up so bad again dude, why the hell do you want to do this!?" mode.

In an effort to lighten the mood around here (and reduce my own stress), post here your biggest dating fail.

I'll start. Last year I asked out a rather fun brunette. She was pretty awesome to say the least. Wanna know the best part? I forgot her name in front of her parents. Completely blanked under the stress. Very glad her parents weren't armed that day :p

Dated a guy that wasn't worth my time for 2-3 years. I want those years of my life back.

When inviting a girl you've been dating for a while to a naked party, if you decide to pick her up at her door in the buff, make sure she's the only one who will be answering your knock.

I told a girl once how the steak she was eating did not consent to be shot in the head, carved up, thrown on a fire, and then served as a tasty food item.

She told me it was a tofu steak, but I didn't know what tofu was, so I assumed it was some sort of animal. I called her a tofu killer in a crowded restaurant in a loud voice.

She wouldn't date me anymore. :(

I didn't learn was tofu was til a week later.

I dumped a guy who went to the same group therapy sessions as me.

Awkward.

First date, went to Applebee's. I ordered me a nice, juicy T-bone.

It was really, really good, and I commented on its quality a couple of times.

As I was almost finished and chewing one of the last pieces, it happened to come up--just naturally in the flow of conversation--that she was a vegan.

I once dumped someone because she gave me a sweater I didn't like.

To be fair, even if you liked the sweater, who buys people sweaters anymore?

Eh? No that would have earned a push, since Bill Cosby is fucking cool.

It was some shitty affair from Jeff Banks.

When I was in high school I dated this girl who was on the track team. During a conversation I stated that track isn't really a sport, suffice it to say she was quite upset.

From my own experience: NEVER mention the sport status of cheerleading. *winces at memories*

Dated someone who started talking about what she will name her first child. I made a bad joke about contraception (not bad as in 'not funny' but bad as in ill-conceived).

I now only date people who share my particularity twisted sense of humor.
