I don't know much about South Korea, but I like that it is one of the most technologically advanced nations on Earth, and it is also very democratic.

I drive a Korean car, so I owe a lot to the Koreans.

I think South Korea is great. Delicious cuisine, amazing history and culture, a bit too socially conformist for my taste and the subtle racism sometimes grates but the good points far outweigh the bad and I even have a little bit of the Korean flag in my own.....and lastly, but not least, Korean girls are gorgeous.

A superb capitalist nation that knows the true value and sacrifice of having to defend it's freedom against tyranny. The Republic of Korea has to remain ever vigilant and ready to deter and repel any communist aggression from their evil, barbaric, brutish, and primitive northern neighbor! South Korea should have control over the entire Korean peninsula. North Korea is but a pariah state that is a mere relic of the Cold War, and deserves to be dissolved.

To OP: It's got a nice culture to it, decent politics, and a great StarCraft scene. I don't like how crowded it is, though, or the pressure that's put on people, especially young people, in a variety of ways.

Oh, and yes, some amazing films, which for some reason doesn't seem to extend to the rest of the Far East.

South Korea's a great country. It's really developed and continuing to develop. The government's also nice to its citizens and doesn't brainwash their people like what Kim Jong-Il did.

That's another reason. While N.K. is suffering in development through Communism, S.K. is flourishing.

Never been there, but from what I've seen and heard, I don't care for it.. or any other Asian country. Maybe Japan in moderation, mainly Osaka, but everything else is ridiculous. I have a Korean room mate who is the most pompous, arrogant, and ignorantly stubborn prick I've ever met, and he seems to think the world owes Koreans some great praise for some reason.

Communism should be illegal everywhere. Western countries could use a demanding and grueling education system too.

I think SK is a fine republic. Though they have quite unfair trade policies towards the main country keeping NK from taking them over (USA).
