I'd choose Canada 3/4 times.

That poll is a stroke of genius. How on Earth can 'both' be better? :eyebrow:

Anyhow; I voted Canada. It ranks higher in most (pretty much all) surveys regarding the things I find important.

I think the "both" option is more of a "I like them both equally" option.

No. If you like them both equally, neither of them is better than the other, in which case you'd vote 'neither'. They can't both be better than the other though.

Then they're both better than the hypothetical 5th option. Belgium.

I think Canada is the better on all these topics simply because they follow a more European style than the United States. As a Brit, I like knowing I can go on holiday to a nation in the Americas that, like the UK, has a public healthcare service, a national legislature that uses the Westminster System and currency with old Queen Lizzie on.

We are a liberal Democracy with many vocal, sometimes disruptive and often smelly opposition groups. These are tolerated with amused smiles and the occasional application of a well-placed baton.

No idea, Canada, Canada, Canada (I like snow), Canada (>2 parties), America and varied, respectively.

America refers to United States of America. North America and South America are the terms for the continents.

You,my freind, are an idiot.I really hope you were joking.

Have you ever looked at a map, love?

Do you know the difference between the United States of America and America?

As long as people are silly and keep using America as a shortened form of the United States of America (USA, it has less letters), I'll point out their silliness.

America is a god-damn continent.

America refers to United States of America. North America and South America are the terms for the continents.

They are also collectively referred to as the Americas. It's preferable if people refer to the USA either by initials (USA or US) or as the United States of America.

Who says its preferable? A few people who rather anal about it on the internet? That's the only place I've ever seen such a thing brought up. Besides, people from the USA have been called Americans for a loooooooong time. Its not like we just up and decided to do it a few years ago.

The Guardian Style Guide tells us that ' the country is generally the United States or US, although its citizens are Americans; we should remember that America includes all of North and South America'.

Nay. The Americas refer to North and South America. America, with out an s on the end, refers to the US.
