It's safe to accept them now.

Oh, Cristiano, won't you ever come back to United?

The general consensus among Wolves fans I know seems to be "he's not up to the job". Its a bit like Kev Mac taking over at Villa briefly but worse because of the relegation. Kev Mac's stint at the helm at Villa seemed to rule him out of any shot at the job -- because it was implied that he wasn't good enough, though I'd dispute that -- and similarly, Terry Connor will probably be overlooked for management positions because of his perceived "failure" at Wolves.
I doubt he'll get the job on a permanent basis. Which is a shame. He seems to have a decent rapport with the players, and I could swear when he did the post-match interview on MotD last night he was close to tears. This is a man who has clearly been giving it everything he's got, and I think the team's relegation is no reflection on his management ability (or lack thereof, as it may be).
Then again, I might be biased because he's black and I want to see more than a 2% representation.

Now, I'd really like Chelsea to lose the final, only so Newcastle can actually play Champions League football next season.
