Dubai,Hell or Heaven ?

This thread is about Dubai . A city described as a horrible hell such as here or a playground for adults such as here.Whats your opinion on Dubai then ?

a) a citizen
b) a white person in the oil business

Otherwise you are likely a temporary worker with essentially no rights.

I really didn't like it. I can't really get past the massive divide between the treatment of tourists and the treatment of the poor.

Basically what Kiskaanak said, also many places in the world that seem heavenly or great places to go on vacation suck big time for the people who live there that are not rich

E.g. Mexico, parts of russia, china, arab countries like egypt, most south american countries, parts of india, etc.

Actually sounds tempting if I can secure a good 40k managerial job on the merit of being white and working a few years for the money but then I suppose I will have my passport nicked
