I must point out that in light of the personal data theft from the PSN, I have turned out a theory that the damage to PlayStation's public relations may be so great that it may never fully recover. This might not be true for the product alone but it could be the case for PlayStation Network alone. In the worst case scenario this could signal the end of PlayStation Network, although not likely.

I disagree. I still trust PSN, this was just a bunch of asshole hackers with too much time on their hands. Of course they were going to get through, no system is perfect. I think it was simply a matter of time until this sort of thing happened.

Christ sony. You wait almost a week before telling us our passwords and personal info has been comprimised? Thank the lord nothing happened to me in that time. Now I have to go clean out all my passwords that match my psn account. Thanks guys. >:(

edit:I'm not mad because the system screwed up. I'm mad they waited so long to pass on the news.

I'm actually ok with it. With finals coming up, it's taken away a temptation. If it's still not working once summer starts, I will be quite annoyed.

I don't play any of my games online. So it doesn't matter. I do have a PSN account and on occasion will play CoD Modern Warfare 2 online, but not that often. Plus our internet connection sucks.

Playstation is overrated, it sucks, and the PSN network was down, which means it's constant support and maintenance are poor. Go Xbox LIVE!!!

It sucks. I feel mad for that. But consider my advantage because I am known as a pro gamer. I have a wii but I forgot the number. Plus that I am also on Xbox Live. This means that I am good for online play no matter what

update: Now I know why. Hackers have stolen loads of data from PSN. Now sony is having a piss poor problem fixing it but that is okay. I can wait

I laugh at everyone saying "Xbox lol red ring lolol lolololol brokeded console." I got my 360 4 1/2 years ago and I have never had a problem with it. The only thing that annoys me is the lack of backward compatibility, really. That's all that bugs me.

Someone on another forum had a good point. What if PSN was breached by someone who physically stole the servers? That would explain why it went down all of a sudden, and why they're moving the new servers to a new building.
