In real life aircraft are useless if you don't support the fire from the ground. All the aircraft do is slow the fire down and knock down the flames so the crews can get to the fire

The game makes it difficult to push back the fire, because the trees are too dense for the game mechanics to allow firefighters to get into the woods. So basically, you have to set up a line of firefighters and firetrucks on a dirt trail and hold back the fire's advance while the forest behind the fire eventually burns the trees until the wood won't catch anymore.

Is there a way to clear the vegetation and cut away the fuel? That's generally how fires like those are out out.
