The Holocaust did not cause WW2, and for those of the allies who even knew all about it, ending it didn't seem to be a huge priority (not that they supported it, just that ending the Holocaust was not the main reason for war). The war was primarily a result of German, Italian, and Japanese military aggression (in Germany's case resulting partly from resentment of the Treaty of Versailles). Not so much to stop what Hitler was doing to people inside the territories he held. Though it is certainly true that the Holocaust is what moves Hitler beyond the level of just another conquering warlord or dictator, to the level of being a truly evil monster.

It certainly happened though (as much as we can be sure any historical event happened, pretty much), and those who disagree are generally either bigots or simply ignorant and mislead by propaganda.

Iran and half the Arab world says otherwise. Let me tell you cannot compare the amount of hardships the Jews went through. The Holocaust was just the largest and most famous of which but we've endured 5700 years of pure abuse plus 60 years of 'mild,' mild meaning not anarchistic annihilation, of abuse. The Jews were the first major three of the prominent western religions. Islam and Christianity are the two largest religions but each sprouted off from the Jewish faith.
