The parliament passed a bill urging the government to do it, but foreign affairs is of the domain of the executive.
The executive does not recognize Palestine, so neither does France.

I would make the following changes to United States foreign policy.

1. Attempt to reduce forces in southeast Asia while reducing our dependence on oil with nuclear energy.
2. Withdraw all support from the partial and comprehensive test ban treaties and begin new nuclear weapons development.
3. Become less interventionist and lift trade restrictions on Cuba and Iran while attempting to move both to more democratic governments.
4. Attempt to decrease the military size while still maintaining defense by expanding tactical nuclear arsenal, announcing this should help with preventing war.
5. Lift ban on the sale of fuel reprocessing facilities.
6. Sign Kyoto protocol.
7. Lift most tariffs.
8. Develop peaceful nuclear explosives for export to allies.
9. Attempt to increase diplomatic ties with china as they are the de facto regional superpower.
10. Increase foreign aid and diplomacy efforts.
11. Attempt to develop an international space program with China, south Korea, and the EU.
Fabulously bisexual.

We have common ground here.

But I thin supporting the Kurds would be a good thing to do, and it would win us brownie points with Russia, Iran, and Syria. Turkey might complain, but who cares?

Turkey is a member state within NATO which the United States is in. The most the United States can do is support a Kurdistan within the borders of Iraq and Syria. We'd have a cool ally near my proposed Israeli-Palestine Commonwealth, Turkey won't be mad, ISIS will have a harder time fighting, and we'll have lots of fun with Assad and Iran afterwards.

Or we can simply support Assad and Iran against ISIS, what the Kurds do won't be our business.

To be honest I don't think I would do anything differently. I might be a bit more transparent about the TPPA negotiations where possible, and I would have been a lot harsher on Ministry officials who bungled the recent case involving the Malaysian diplomat, but beyond that I'm pretty happy with New Zealand's foreign policy.

If I were in charge of the US's foreign policy, I'd shrink the defense budget, stop funneling money to Israel, and commit to a relatively non-interventionist policy.

I would isolate the Russians, try to rebuild relations with Japan and South Korea, apply considerable soft pressure to North Korea to get their act together, expand the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, get on better with Central Asia, and reach some kind of understanding with America that we were ultimately on the same (anti-Russian) team.

Why Vietnam? They're pro-American.

Doesn't matter. They are Communists. Plus, they don't have the full backing of China right now, so it'd be easier.

Have you ever heard of realpolitik? Nobody gives a shit about ideology anymore. What's the point in overthrowing a government just because you (and I say, as in you, Murkwood, not your country, the United States) don't like their ideology? The Cold War is over. I doubt many people in the State Department would be cool with creating political instability in pro-American nations just for shit and giggles.

An alliance, as seems to be about to happen, between Likud, Yisrael Beiteinu, The Jewish Home, and possibly Shas and United Torah Judaism.

I already consider The Jewish Home as hard-right, but the inclusion of Yesh Atid and Hatnuah in the coalition ensured a center-right nucleus. Now without those two parties, the next Israel government can go as far right as it wants.

Make the Defense Department actually for defense. Not offense. I would try to end the Federal Reserve system (pretty hard to do), and I would try to cut back on foreign aid.

Also, cut back on Nukes.

- Try to maintain good relationship with USA, Poland and other Baltic countries.
- Support allies in military operations
- Increase military spending by 50-75% (up to 3.50 of GDP)
- Increase political support to Israel
- Focus less on African and third world nations

Simple.
