Wait, wait, your school has an Anime Club?

I want ALSDE fired and dismantled for this. Or just petition for my school to start an Anime Club.

Yeah. Of course. How would I manage? That obviously has a lot to do with the exact situation. I'd do whatever I needed to for them.

I wish I could say I would definitely 100% date a physically disabled person however I cannot say for certain and to do so would be to lie and create a character that is not me... :(
If I was dating her before she became physically disabled then I think I would keep going because at that point I obviously have feelings for the person.

Reading a lot of this stuff makes me glad that, although I've dated some crazy bitches, they've never viewed my opinion on TV shows or music as if it were an actually relationship problem.

Most of the girls I've dated like the same stuff as me anyway.

But no, people are not attracted to me because apparently, I'm "too nice and caring".

I feel like I have to make something more clear.

The disabled person I was talking about was a he, which makes it significantly worse. And, his disability is sadly very visible- it's on his face, actually.

I know a lot of people don't approach him at all, mainly because of his disability. He isn't really a bad person, though. He's not very sociable because of his disability, and, well, he says he probably won't ever be in a relationship. I mean, you have to talk to somebody in order to develop feelings for him/her, and when you don't, well, I suppose it's not really possible to fall for his appearance, either, given his disability. He's pretty sensitive when it comes to this subject. He says he's grown used to 'seeing people choose not to sit next to him' because of his disability. Part of me wants to believe that a person like him can also be happy, preferably with a significant other, but... Well, when I think about his life, I don't really think he can be like everyone else.

And that makes me sad. I wish society were more acceptive of the disabled.
Anyways, thanks for answering me, guys!

I would date him. I mean, I don't know him, but as long as he isn't an asshole or anything... his disability wouldn't effect anything personally.

Frankly, no, I wouldn't. However, "smaller" disabilities would be bearable.

I'm really, really bad at dating. Like, seriously bad. I've never had a relationship that lasted more than three months - either due to the immaturity of both parties, my fear of commitment, or other events. Eventually I got tired of all the heartbreakin' and fights, and just quit dating wholesale to focus on my personal growth. I think that's been beneficial. I don't think anyone wants to date an asshole, so I should be ready if I ever go out looking for love and dowry again.

I don't know if being short one eye counts as a serious physical disability. An arm or a leg more so, but even then...

Good question actually, and to that I do not happen to have a clear answer.. I might lean to no because I frankly don't consider it that grave of an issue that could be used to justify a divorce / breaking up a relationship... But like I said, it is bit of a so-so.

If my fiance, then my wife, became disabled then I'd honor my vows. Pre-proposal? It's likely I would cease to find her attractive.

It's actually much worse than you might think...

And, well, judging from how some people react, even pirates may not be enough for his (my friend's) case!

If you're leaning towards 'no', it means that there is something that prevents you from breaking up the relationship you and your significant other have forged. Now, by not dating a disabled person at all, you're not really letting anything form between you and that specific person. Who knows? Maybe you and that person got along really well, and, well, maybe you'd have actually started liking that person. So the two questions I've asked you are actually the same, and you seem to have two different answers to them...

I just want to understand why a person's disability means so much to you that you'd choose not to be with that person. I hope this didn't offend you...

So, you only found her attractive because of her looks? What if she's a great person inside, one that you'd actually want to spend your life with?

I have nothing to say about all this. I'm just that type of guy who falls in love at first sight and well... Be a bit cliché about all the friendzone thing. Granted I don't complain or anything but well I've ran kinda out of fucks, now I'm going to live life as it is without actively searching a partner. Granted, I'm still young, only sixteen but, meh, perhaps when I'm moving away I will have more luck.

There, my "discussion" is over and a +1 to my posts, huzzah.
Duca Robin Leonardo II de Cavrianesi, Duke of Alto Mantovano, Leader of the Mantoan League.
During the age of the Signorie, house Cavrianesi took over the duchy of Mantua. While following in the footsteps of the Gonzagas, the new dinasty seeked protection not only in diplomacy, but also in expansion. In a small-scale cold war between the regional powers, a compromise had been reached: The League of Alto Mantovano. A highly federalized union between the italian states, with Alto Mantovano as a Leader.

I'm just a very lazy student, I'm half German and half Italian, and interested in History. Feel free to PM me if you have anything to say.
