Louis Farrakhan has said that "[i]Since we cannot get along with them in peace and equality, we believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by white America justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own[/i']"
and if its good enough for one religious group to be given someone elses land to se up their own state then why shouldnt the Nation of Islam get the same treatment?
or maybe no nation should be set up for exclusively religious reasons, Israel is the only state ever granted that right (eg the Vatican is only an observer in the UN)

In all seriousness, we are not going to deport every last Israeli to the US just so the radical left(of whom I used to be affiliated with) can let terrorists like Hamas run wild with sharia extremism and antisemitism. Israelis fought long and hard for that nation they can flee antisemitism and return to the land promised to them. While I believe there should be a Palestine I don't think Israel should be removed. We already have a bad refugee crisis in the Middle East and the deportations of middle eastern Jews en masse isn't gonna help.
promised to them by who? the British or some exiled hermit 4000 years ago?

No, it is due to them being white. Race is whatever classifications you want to make. Arab is a linguistic identity, compare the President of Sudan with Assad. Both identify as Arab. Yet look very different. Assad is definitely white though.
Race is a social construct, not "whatever classifications you want to make". No matter what silly racial typology system the Census Bureau may employ does not mean that American society views Arabs as white people, or "Latinos" for that matter. Just because the census bureau may consider East Los Angeles 50.5% "White" doesn't mean you won't get laughed out of the room if you go around saying East LA is mostly white people, similarly for Dearborn, Michigan, though it's not nearly as homogenous. If White America ends up assimilating Arab Americans into their ranks like they did with the Irish, Italians, and really all non Anglo people popularly considered white today (though many Americans still have reservations about some of these groups) then it'd be a different story. But the fact of the matter is Arab Americans generally are not considered white people in American society, besides that the census bureau is looking to add a new separate racial category for the 2020 census "Middle East-North Africa".

It is a social construct. And so yes, the categorization varies. By many definitions they are white. And I have heard the census bureau might do that but it makes no sense. Middle East North Africa is not a race or a homogenous group at all. That is arbitrary as hell. And only will stir up more "whites are a minority" nonsense. Not sure why the census burea wants more ethinic tension.
And some Arab Americans are quite integrated as whites, heard of Steve Jobs? So are many Latinos. Latino is a linguistic identity, not a race at all. There are black African "Latinos" and Latinos with pale skin, blond hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure Cameron Diaz is freaking white.

American society does not generally view Arabs as white, so yes it makes sense, as a social construct it is dictated by society that's how it works. Racial classifications are often quite arbitrary, that's how those work. North Africa and the "Middle East" have clear links in history, culture and ethnic composition, combine that with the fact that this is an umbrella for people there's not that many of in the US anyway that are largely grouped together in America's mind then it makes plenty of sense. Also you were appealing to the census not too long ago as the authority on whiteness in American society and now that it's thinking of breaking the bureaucratic inertia that classifies Arabs as white you denounce it as somehow stirring up ethnic tension? Newsflash, there's not that many Middle Easterners in the US in the first place, and as silly as many people are I don't see a major hissy fit in the making about America being shown to be maybe 2% less white. As for more local demographics I'm sure White Americans in their respective areas are already aware that Dearborn, Michigan is full of Arabs and Glendale, California is full of Armenians and if anything would appreciate the census bureau recognizing that these are not necessarily "White" cities.
There are integrated people of practically every minority group. Some due to physical differences may have more trouble passing as white like Steve Jobs was able to do, then again if his name was Steve Jandali I'm sure it would be a different story. And Latino is generally seen as a separate race in American society as well, and yes it has more nuances to it due to what "Latino" encompasses. It's generally conflated with Latin American Mestizos, there are "Latinos" with more if not full European or African ancestry yes and they may be able to pass but that doesn't mean they're just seen as white or black and I don't see many trying to align themselves with those identities, "Latino" is a much stronger pan-ethnic identity that has been adopted.

Because it is a social construct the census burea should be pushing intergation, not division. We should be reducing the number of categories with the long term goal of ending all race.
Middle East and North African is a stupid category. A Berber has little in comon with an Israeli.
And the point is many Arabs and "Latinos" do identify as white. Not all do, but neither is a single race but a pan-ethic linguistic grouping.
Also this.
"Nearly four decades after the United States government mandated the use of the terms "Hispanic" or "Latino" to categorize Americans who trace their roots to Spanish-speaking countries, a new nationwide survey of Hispanic adults finds that these terms still haven't been fully embraced by Hispanics themselves. A majority (51%) say they most often identify themselves by their family's country of origin; just 24% say they prefer a pan-ethnic label."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispanic–Latino_naming_dispute
Probably time we got rid of the Latino category.
But we are off topic. This topic has nothing to do with race, and yes the vast modify of Jews in the US are fully integrated "whites" and consider themselves so.

Census bureau will end race, that'll be the day The job of the census is not misguided social engineering it's collecting, interpreting and presenting data accurately. As far as well known social attitudes are concerned Arabs and Latinos are not considered white to the American public, to present them as such is not presenting an appropriate or accurate picture to it's constituency.
Your average Berber has even less in common with your average Swede.
If given no other option for race many begrudgingly consider themselves either "white" or "white Hispanic", also many elect to put "Other" instead in rejection of the silly typology.
And how many say that they elect to just identify as White Americans instead when all options are on the table?
I always think it's silly when somebody continues an argument and then says we should stop because it's veering off topic. It appears as a transparent attempt to get the last word.
