I'm pretty confident that Hamid will keep DC United in the game, even if they fall late.

Roger East has sent the wrong player off for Sunderland v Manchester United. He's also generally an awful referee.

You didn't miss much. It was 5-2. Bill Hamid and Eddie Johnson didn't play for DC, and the replacement goalie was awful. Hand-delivered Alajuelense two goals on his own.

It kind of sucks how the MLS teams are still in early preseason for the big CONCACAF matches, while the Mexican and Central American teams are already in mid-season form.

It's getting old to see United scrape such lucky results now. 72% possession and nothing to show for it but a (deserved) penalty and a lucky tap-in, how this team is third is beyond me. Somehow they have even made Di Maria boring to watch.

Wembley, Wembley. We're the semi-famous Wrexham FC and we are going to Wembley. Wembley, Wembley.

If you are in London or around the area, you can pick up a Wembley ticket before tuesday, for our final on the 29th March for as little as £5. We've had nothing to cheer about in the league all season so actually giving us something to cheer about (our FA Cup run excluded).

Coutinho was on another level today, matched only by Joe Allen of all people.

We're finishing second again.

Can the BBC please hire some more pundits? A MOTD2 line up of Mark Chapman, Robbie Savage, and Danny Murphy just isn't up to scratch.

This thread is filled with English supporters, god darn it.

Does anybody want to discuss anything related to football that's not English?

English teams suck balls in UCL, it's between Germany and Spain now.

I really do hope Bayern hits the treble once again since Pep has the potential, he isn't Jupp, but he can be one, a better one.

As for national teams, I hope Albania qualifies into Euro 2016, Gianni De Biasi is a classic Italian SOB that improved Albania's performance in 2 years. We beat Portugal, we draw with Deanmark and we lost against Serbia, because fuck you UEFA cunts and I hope Michel Platini chokes while sucking his balls, there I said it.

Y'know, I can't help but feel Roberto Martinez is gonna do at Everton what he did at Wigan. We'll win the Europa League and thus qualify for the CL... but also get relegated. This has just been one seriously frustrating season. We demolish everyone we face in Europe, be it Young Boys or Wolfsburg, but can only settle for draws at home against Leicester and West Brom. Anyways...

It's an English-speaking forum and the MLS season hasn't started yet (and might not soon if they don't get that CBA done with the players), that a large percentage of fans currently active in this thread are followers of teams in the English leagues shouldn't be at all surprising.

Ewww MLS, who cares about Yanks playing football? There are a lot of major leagues and events happening now that are more important than Yankees not playing in winter because they are cold.

That actually happens fairly often here. Chill.

Coincidentally, my team (who do not play in England) have a big match tonight. Roma away is always tough. Should be a good one.

Actually, Totti and his fellows don't win at the Olimpico since... what, last November?

Eredivisie?

Ajax won at PSV yesterday, thereby reducing the latter's lead to 11 points. Still, 9 matches to go. PSV should not give it away. They even had the better part of play yesterday, despite the defeat.

My own team is still 17th though :( 4 points below the 15th place, which is safe.
The Blaatschapen should resign

I'm not sure why they can't give Pat Nevin a regular slot on there. His work on the radio is excellent and his pieces on the website are brilliant. He is certainly one of my favourites at the moment. We need to get Alan Hansen back.

Feel free to post something about a league you have in mind. It might not get many comments. I myself regularly post about a 5th tier team playing in the English pyramid, I doubt anyone really cares, but I post about it because I enjoy talking about our successes, (or more recently failures). I'm always interested to hear from other clubs that aren't in the mainstream media.

I like Martinez and I do hope you win the Europa League. However I think you are very much wrong about relegation. You certainly have enough about you to avoid it, and you can rest comfortably that there are least 5-6 teams worse than yourselves. Realistically you only need 4 wins out of 11 games to reach that 40 point mark but I don't think the relegated clubs will get near that this season. You should be safe, but you will be looking over your shoulder for the rest of the season.

Colin Murray was quite good for the single season he hosted it. But for the love of god kick Robbie Savage off the regular team.

He shouldn't be a regular pundit. I like him in small doses, his 606 on Radio 5 live is very good, I've not watched Fletch and Sav but I hear that is quite good too (though having not watched it I cannot give an opinion). I like Savage, but it's probably as he's a Wrexham lad and there is definitely bias my end. Would he not be I'd likely find him annoying.

He shouldn't be a regular on Motd an occasional guest, or put him on something like football focus when they go to various clubs stadiums.

I think Motd should follow the Football League show which I really enjoy. Just wish it wasn't on so late.

So this is what is happening in the Albanian Super League, the difference between the three first places is less than 3 points, one mistake and the other takes the lead of the table. It's so exciting, and there are still a lot of matches to be played.

I think it would be interesting for Kelly Cates to get on MOTD (I really like her on 606 with Ian Wright).

As an avid manager of non-league sides in Football Manager games, I'm always interested.

Speaking of FM, I recently took up a job at Carmarthen Town. It's... an interesting challenge.

I've taken a bit of interest in De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie, largely because I love the nickname Superboeren.

Well, they know if Juve win it's basically all over. And I'm hearing rumours Allegri is planning to go back to the 3-5-2 if Pogba isn't fit.
I know Juve beat Roma with the 3-5-2 before but... I dunno man. Got a feeling it won't work well this time.
