Anyways, I started a new playthrough a while ago.... as dank meme-lord Kim Jong-un. As you can imagine, it was relatively easy to make his physical structure. As soon as I found Fashionable Sunglasses and Fedora and equipped him with them.... I can't take the game seriously anymore. It doesn't help that I've made him into a melee build. Someone, help me. I can't stop the bitter stupidity and cringworthiness.

Gunslinger is a good perk, but I feel that there is nothing more satisfying then decking a deathclaw with a fully upgraded Gauss Rifle, plus maxed out Rifleman and Bloody Mess perk. Curbstomp battle, indeed.

I had a gunslinger for a while, but got rid of it and started a new female sniper. I might recreate the character (but keep my current one along side it) for the survival mode revamp when ever it comes out.

Started playing Fallout New Vegas again after I stopped playing a week or two ago because my save corrupted and I lost like five hours of progress.

Completed Volare! (again) and informed Caesar of the alliance. I'm now helping out the North Vegasians along my journey to Jacobstown to help out Rex.

I was rummaging through my stockpile of captured weapons the other day and found a 10mm with the "Two Shot" prefix. I coupled this with a rapid automatic receiver, and since each round is a duplex, it effectively grants me MG42-esque levels of lead-flinging capability. The downside to this is that generally by the time I've wrestled the gun back on target, it's time to reload.

I think a big point of the mystery behind the Great War is that no records are meant to exist to show who started it.

Both China and the U.S. were at fault. It doesn't matter who "started" it. They both started it a long time ago.

The mistake would have been to end it.

How did America start it? The Chinese were the ones who invaded in the first place, kicking the whole shitshow off. In what way are they not basically responsible for what happened?

"Nuclear winter" is a common falsehood. It would happen eventually, but it would take a LOT of detonations - far more than the combined arms of humanity at any point in its history.

The reason for having so many bombs was a direct result of WWII. There was a very serious risk even after Nagasaki of Japan not surrendering (the Soviet occupation of Manchuria tipped the scales in favor of surrender). The idea was that the Soviet Union or Untied States would each individually be several times more 'sustainable' than Japan under extreme stress, and thus it would take large-scale obliteration of populatio then centers to actually wound the nation.

That, and of course the idea that if we don't, they will.
