For authors, it really depends on the genre as I have so many from different ones it'd take awhile to list them.

Though for an idea of the kind I like, at least when it comes to fiction: Pratchett, Orwell, Asimov, Banks, Tolkien, GRRM, Bolano, Gabito, Clarke, Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide), Lovecraft, King, Jordan.

Some fiction authors that I've picked up in the last few years that I really like are Taylor Anderson, David Weber, and Jack Campbell. All three are fantastic writers.
You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.

Some alternative views are that he did exist with a bit of embellishment about his career and wrote the core text, with it refined into its current form a few centuries later by either his descendants or a close-knit group that studied warfare. Some think it could have mainly actually been the work of Sun Bin, an alleged descendant of Sun Tzu's; some have thought an anonymous author; others Wu Zixu. Most skeptics point to the Warring States Period as being the time when it was refined and compiled into the form we know it. Which was quite some time after the Spring and Autumn Period when Sun Tzu is alleged to have lived in.

I've only read the Jedi Academy trilogy by him, but I certainly enjoyed it. The Sun Crusher is my favorite fictional superweapon of any franchise. :)

I have always enjoyed fantasy books. Any type of fantasy really. As long as it had something to do with stuff I can never do I feel connected to it.

I find non-fiction still more interesting. You are talking to the only 15-year-old who has a book on almost any subject you can think of.

Timothy Zhan, George Orwell, and Jules Verne are all great authors that I love. Zhan's contributions to the Star Wars (now only lore and legends) and basic science fiction novels has really opened up a gateway into that particular genre for me. I recommend the Heir to the Empire Trilogy.

I myself don't read that many books, because they're usually slow in pace and lack fighting (I have odd needs), but I have some favourites too.

Poe's novels were pretty cool, and I also liked Remarque. I also enjoyed Račičkas's books when I was younger - they were light-hearted and refreshing in comparison to the sad and grim atmosphere that is constantly floating around in Lithuanian literature.
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

Read my RWBY fanfiction!

Certainly one of the most literally super superweapons... can't get much more badass than destroying an entire solar system. Star Wars: Darksaber and The X-Files: Ruins are also good Kevin J. Anderson books.

That's very well said. I might use that to describe my own love of the fantasy and sci-fi genres.

The books I'm writing are fairly fast-paced (though not quite as fast as a movie, definitely faster than most books) and have an inordinate amount of fighting... hopefully once I publish them you'll enjoy them.

You might still get there before me... I'm not very far into book 1 yet. When you publish, TG me and let me know so that I can check your book out... if it's like what you described as far as being fast-paced with lots of fighting, I'll probably love it (and if I do, I'll give you positive word of mouth and try to get others to read it too).

I don't have specific authors that I like nor do I read many novels (fiction) but I liked Dostoyevsky "Crime and Punishment". The most wierd book that makes me think what did I just read is "The Master and Margarita" by Bulgakov.
Definitely would recommend these books to people who like to read little bit.

William S. Burroughs, Frank Herbert, China Mieville, Terry Pratchett and HP Lovecraft are the authors I most habitually return to and love the most.

One of my absolute favorite book (series) is The Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons. I have only met one other person (here) that has read it and loves it as much as I do.

Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs (a lot more of his writings too) and The Dune series, by Frank Herbert are both all time favorites as well.

Reading books is one of my favorite pastimes. I love books about history, war, science, and religion, biographies, novels, and comic books. Nowadays I find it rather difficult to allocate some time to reading because of the homework, but I still return to my books from time to time.
