Dave Grohl is a very competent musician, and some of his stuff with the Foo Fighters is decent. He also seems to be a very grounded and humble guy, despite being one of the wealthiest rock stars in the world (thanks trendy teenagers for buying millions of Nirvana t shirts). However, he seems to have a goal in making rock (and metal in some cases) noticeably safe and kid-friendly. His more recent music kinda shows that with all the fucking radio hits and his constant sucking of the surviving Beatles' dicks.

And Cosumar you can stop with that "why keep on listening if you hate it" comment, albums like Shades of God, Icon, Tragic Idol and The Plague Within are all good reasons for me to keep on listening to a band even though 85% of their material makes me go "ew"

Or should I just give up after one or two weak albums and never find the good ones?

He shouldn't participate in the thread if he doesn't know metal from not-metal and should grow a thicker skin instead of insisting that uninformed opinions are just as valid as those held by people exponentially more familiar with the topic at hand.
