Wait, why? I personally can't see how anyone can't at least enjoy action movies in general.

I feel the same way about action movies. I don't really like them. Most of my least favorite movies are blockbuster action movies.

Maybe because "adult" films are more likely to become extended series, which tends to mean less character death.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

I think action movies would be a whole lot better if there were less guns. I mean seriously, it gets boring.

Shit blowin' up real good seems to sell. I do wonder if it would be better toned down and/or better choreographed. For example, I like the end of The Avengers, which is mostly a long battle sequence, but broken up by actual non-violent interaction between characters, but thought that most of Return of the King was boring because it was too much bad war movie. And I'm not going to talk about the Hobbit movies; they simply don't exist in my universe. :p
Gollum died for your sins.

What are you guys favorite movie soundtracks?

For me, video game soundtracks tend to actually try and be new and creative more for me than movie soundtracks tend to do, which often stick to boring orchestral soundtrack stereotypes I get so bored of, but there are certainly movie soundtrack gems. Seriously though, indie games have so many great soundtracks, and even AAA game titles have some good soundtracks, while I can only think of maybe like 5 movie soundtracks I like. I've listened to like 10+ soundtracks lately (Not all of them worth a crap, but a lot were), and like 3 of them were movies.

Edit: Actually, more were movies than I thought (Like 5), though it's probably more like 15 soundtracks I've listened to.

In no particular order at the moment (With song samples):
Black Hawk Down Soundtrack
Hanna Soundtrack
Ravenous Soundtrack
Whale Rider Soundtrack. Loved this movie when I was like 10. Still do. Actually, in a real sense, I probably still like this one more than Bridge to Terabithia, even though Bridge to Terabithia has more meaning to me. Probably seen the movie like 4 or 5 times. It's kinda like typical orchestral music but done in a much more somber way than normal
Dead Man Soundtrack
The Secret of Kells Soundtrack (Only really know this song, but this is the best vocals I've heard from a kid singing a mellow song)
Suspiria Soundtrack

there are others but these are probably the most noteworthy.

I'm a huge music lover who constantly discovers new music, so amazing soundtracks can definitely be a part of that for me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOkcaSbtLtE - The Gold Rush

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-WjAOdkU5E - The Truman Show

Don't think these are really my thing. Not "different" enough for me (I'm picky, trust me. I like a LOT but I'm also super nitpicky with stuff because I've heard enough things to find a lot of stuff boring)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9RyWMbw79s - A Clockwork Orange

I like. Sounds kinda 80's ish.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmclj2xL8yo - Prisoners

Considering it was composed by one of my favorite modern classical artists, I approve. This song in particular is a favorite, which was also utilized in the movie.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMlA6uCcatM - The Grand Budapest Hotel

I wanna see this movie, but it appears that his movies don't show up on the American Netflix

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4NCC0dUXks - Fargo

I like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_hdmt4vpBo - Ratatouille

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnW89vmlxZQ - The Usual Suspects

Eh, not that interesting to me

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-Ea7R5-81w - Se7en

Damn, I approve. Might be my favorite here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWsz5xMJF6k - One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest

I like

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmRm8hiC6yI - Looper

Eh, not interesting enough for me really.

I approve though. A good varied taste in here I feel :)

Does anyone watch History Channel's Vikings? Or NBC's About a Boy (don't you laugh, it's a great show once you start watching it)?

How does M. Night Shyamalan gets new movies to direct? He is unable to create a decent film for like a decade.

How does M. Night Shyamalan gets new movies to direct? He is unable to create a decent film for like a decade.

Seems that unlike Michael Bay, Shyamalan fails to direct enjoyable trash. That question will be a mystery for eternity.

Does anyone watch History Channel's Vikings? Or NBC's About a Boy (don't you laugh, it's a great show once you start watching it)?

Yeah ive watched Vikings, both seasons and im looking forward to the next season. Its one of the few decent shows the History channel has put out in the last few years, and its one of the even fewer ones that actually has something to do with history.

For he is the Shyamalan, the master of twists and bringer of Darkness.

He knows all and sees all.

But yeah his movies fucking suck, especially After Earth. DONT WATCH IT EVER.

Unlike Michael Bay, he doesn't make money as well. So How? Why? When?
