Apparently children's movies depict death of more major characters than adult movies do

Maybe because "adult" films are more likely to become extended series, which tends to mean less character death.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I think action movies would be a whole lot better if there were less guns. I mean seriously, it gets boring.

Shit blowin' up real good seems to sell. I do wonder if it would be better toned down and/or better choreographed. For example, I like the end of The Avengers, which is mostly a long battle sequence, but broken up by actual non-violent interaction between characters, but thought that most of Return of the King was boring because it was too much bad war movie. And I'm not going to talk about the Hobbit movies; they simply don't exist in my universe.

What are you guys favorite movie soundtracks?

For me, video game soundtracks tend to actually try and be new and creative more for me than movie soundtracks tend to do, which often stick to boring orchestral soundtrack stereotypes I get so bored of, but there are certainly movie soundtrack gems. Seriously though, indie games have so many great soundtracks, and even AAA game titles have some good soundtracks, while I can only think of maybe like 5 movie soundtracks I like. I've listened to like 10+ soundtracks lately (Not all of them worth a crap, but a lot were), and like 3 of them were movies.

Edit: Actually, more were movies than I thought (Like 5), though it's probably more like 15 soundtracks I've listened to.

In no particular order at the moment (With song samples):
Black Hawk Down Soundtrack
Hanna Soundtrack
Ravenous Soundtrack
Whale Rider Soundtrack. Loved this movie when I was like 10. Still do. Actually, in a real sense, I probably still like this one more than Bridge to Terabithia, even though Bridge to Terabithia has more meaning to me. Probably seen the movie like 4 or 5 times. It's kinda like typical orchestral music but done in a much more somber way than normal
Dead Man Soundtrack
The Secret of Kells Soundtrack (Only really know this song, but this is the best vocals I've heard from a kid singing a mellow song)
Suspiria Soundtrack

there are others but these are probably the most noteworthy.

I'm a huge music lover who constantly discovers new music, so amazing soundtracks can definitely be a part of that for me.

Yeah ive watched Vikings, both seasons and im looking forward to the next season. Its one of the few decent shows the History channel has put out in the last few years, and its one of the even fewer ones that actually has something to do with history.
