I can't seem to listen to one band straight for a week...

I mean, unless I'm going through their entire discography for the first time, but that usually takes a couple of days max, depending on how large the discography is.

Edit: At least not these days. Used to be able to at least more so.

weeeeak, I've got six bands over 200 and I've been on since January.

But yeah, I tend to concentrate on a smaller pool of artists while you seem to listen to just about everything, which spreads out the scrobbles.

Geez that's a lot of bands.

Though of course Anthony Fantano has 3,000+

Apparently you consistently listen to bands more then I do :P

It's not like I don't scrobble a lot. I do. Though I do have my periods with not much.

I still think it mainly has to do with the fact I jump around so much.

At video: The hell?
At band: Damn, this band really does change their sound around. This sounds NOTHING like the only album of theirs I've heard, the most recent one.

You should hear their first album then.

So, one of my favorite bands played a song in one of my favorite TV shows, playing the big important theme song for this major house in the show and for that particular episode, played for an important event.. And while I didn't watch the episode (Don't have HBO), they posted the song on their Facebook, and it's awesome.

They're also in the episode itself.

Excuse while I fan boy a little.

(Note: I knew they were playing in the episode and in the episode, as I posted before, it's just now official with tonight's episode)

I have Tangerine Dream, but decided I didn't want to go through 300+ songs worth of material (and 39 hours), so I'd prefer to go by albums recommended instead of going through like 39 albums...

I had one recommended to me that I have on there, and I have all 4 parts to "Booster" just for the hell of it.

Don't know the others. I'll give them a listen.

Also, I did have Kraftwerk but got rid of them for some reason. Might get them back. Don't think I was in the mood for their style at the time.

For Kraftwerk check out:
Autobahn (1974)
Radio-Activity (1975)
Trans-Europe Express (1977)
The Man-Machine (1978)
Computer World (1981)

It's the progress of Krautrock turning into the first electronic music.
The early albums of Popul Vuh are very good I've heard, but I've only heard Hosianna Mantra.

Also Amon Düül II, Cluster and Tangerine Dream, but I've heard nothing of that myself.

So, listened to the new Triptykon album

It's awesome. Triptykon is still very distinctive at their style they do (Mixing various metal genres together), and they do it really well and always uniquely and interestingly. They're masters of their sound. I love it. I could see myself owning the last Celtic Frost album and both Triptykon albums easily someday. I don't really know what to specifically say about it other than that if you like a mix of many very dark metal genres (Doom metal, death metal, black metal, ect), I'd recommend to give it a listen easily.

Highlights: Demon Pact. This song is awesome. I might even go as far to say I'd give it a 10/10 if I was to rate songs.
Boleskine House is still one of my favorites on the album, as well. But I think my metal song of the year is now Demon Pact.

I'd rate the album a 8.5/10

(Yeah, I know I copied this directly from my post in the metal thread. Sue me)
