Am I the only one who felt like Flim and Flam's first mistake was threatening to be competitors to The Apple Family and SAA? Because it seems to me that in the pony universe, competitors in the business world is unheard of. I mean I'm sure every town has it's own farmer, mechanic, dress maker, etc. However, they all have their own markets and they don't intrude on another pony's market.

Filthy Rich's business model seems to be selling product at lower prices...this implies that there are others selling the same wares and he's trying to beat them. So competition exists.
