Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. Just toss your lame morals to the curb for a second and get ruthlessly profit-focused with me here. What kind of turnaround are we lookin' at, with the Nagant being around 80 bucks on average?

After doing a very sloppy search I couldn't find a Nagant below half of that but anyhow...
There seems to be somewhere around 10 million people who identify strongly as bronies in the US. Not correcting for differences in the demographics we might sloppily assume that about half of those own a gun, and might thus potentially consider buying another one. So maybe 4 million potential costumers? Then again how many of those would actually do it? And at what price?

Oh....

Hmm... there isn't much of a precedent to work with here, is there?
I like the style of the Luna one a couple posts up, though. That's exactly the sort of thing I'm thinking. Wonder how much work went into it? Maybe some people on Deviantart have done similar projects?

I think that the real question here is how many you could produce and how you could get the advertisement out there so people knew about it...
Let's face it, you're not going to turn out four million of those things anyway

Deviantart, or maybe Ebay. Even if I could make that many, I wouldn't want to. It seems like that Luna one is among the only Mosins ever converted, and demand increases price. And because Russian surplus rifles like that are really popular in the States, combined with the gun market inflation Obama causes every time he says anything about guns, I think the profit margin here could be considerable. But one of the make-or-break questions is, "Which pony's color scheme would fetch the highest price?"

Overall the data suggests that the most popular ones are Twilight, followed by fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Likely Rainbow Dash would be more popular with gun fanatics.
(apparently pinkie pie was in the running for best princess, fyi)

I would want a twilight-themed mosin, maybe a horn pattern on the barrel (idk if the Barrel heats to the point of messing it up on a mosin) and cutie mark on side of receiver, I'd be willing to shell out maybe 150-250 depending on how well (relative price 2-3.5x) but it would be fairly awkward going to the range with that (usually use an AR-15 with a Brotherhood of Steel color scheme/ shooting friends don't know ima brony)

But I agree with Knox, a sword is far cooler

I was going to link to a song from the LoTR soundtrack, but I couldn't find the right one. I thought it was that one when they charged out of Helm's Deep, but it turned out it wasn't. Damn.

Hasbro is not a bro.

UPDATE: It seems that Hasbro have also stuck their boot into the Equestria Girls website – a fan created page that was released just after the video (now featuring a message entitled “Nice Job Hasbro”. They’re now enforcing their copyright of the ‘Equestria Girls’ brand, over 1 and a half years after the website was created, and are now letting the owner of the page know they want to “start the process of transferring the domain name registration to Hasbro.”. Not purchase, or challenge – “transfer”. I wonder if they’d like to prohibit the same use of property from Equestria Daily, or Derpy Hooves News, or us?

This really is worrying.

What's with the sudden crackdown on MLP fan content and fan sites?

Things like "Friendship is Witchcraft" have been around for a while on the internet and Hasbro didn't seem to mind.

Were they just oblivious to it all until now?

The only reasonable way this could have happened is that Hasbro is just really oblivious or they're getting their trollface on.
