Not bad for something that was a conservative satire to begin with.

I do. The Flood infected prehistoric humanity (who dropped the ball and let it spread) and attacked the Forerunners, who completely dropped the ball (again) in their arrogance and let the Flood breach quarantine and run rampant across the galaxy, then in a desperate attempt to destroy the Flood activated the Halo arrays, which killed all unshielded life (which included all the Covenant races, humanity, and strangely enough, the Flood, but even stranger still, no Forerunners, with the so far exception of the Diadict.).

Very wrong, it started out when Ancient Humanity with their San 'Shyuum allies found a strange dust (I think on a starship) and found that it was good at taming wild animals, they basically spread the flood themselves until it turned into something like a Zombie apocalypse, by the time there was any true military presence on any world the Flood already had the minds of hundreds under their control and attacked humanity as a test. When the Flood managed to attack and consume Forerunner worlds Humanity jumped into to sterilize the threat, the Forerunners not knowing the issue got pissed and started kicking their ass. Humanity sent a biological WMD into their blood and fed half of the population to the Flood which then apparently died (they didn't, they decided to test the Forerunners instead.) And the Forerunners eventually sent humanity back to Earth as a devolved species and the San 'Shyuum were on their own world but in a DMZ. By the time the Flood attacked the Forerunners easily stopped it for years but were being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers, by the time Mendicant Bias went to combat the Gravemind the Flood had enough forces to amass an invasion. Eventually the Gravemind would turn Mendicant Bias to his side and Mendicant basically let all the doors open, soon the Forerunners were forced to combat the Flood with Offensive Bias engaging in a battle with the Flood under the control of Mendicant. Eventually Bornstellar Didact had to activate the Halos.

There is much more to it, but the Forerunners were not at fault, unless believing the Gravemind couldn't take over A.I is something to note.

1. Get off this thread. (jk)

2. WH40k stands for Warhammer 40,000, a miniatures game that also has some video games and cortex books. The Blood Angel Space Marines are epic btw.

Warhammer is a fantastic little story of blood, death, murder etc in a galaxy were war is all that is known.

It is inconsistent as fuck, but pretty awesome, tends to not have a sense of scale in weapon power, which plagues Sci Fi like Star Wars and even Halo (Forerunners).

Palpatine and one grand admiral who was also one of his Darkside Elite were both fairly skilled at it.

Several people after them picked up the secret.

Another benefit is that the Force is more in the realspace dimension, since it can affect physical things with just deep concentration(I think how the SW force can be seen is as a "soul-force", which some people can manipulate if they can amplify it.) Compared to the Warp, the Force is a lot more natural, since it comes from the soul of a person, whereas the warp powers come from hell itself(and thus sometimes dangerous to toy with and be warned, spontaneous combustion and sudden explosions of your body happen frequently)

So the only "downside" of the Force is that it can be used for bad as well as good, since it is a neutral power. The warp powers on the other hand come from evil itself, which usually means anyone playing with it has a chance of being tainted.

Its an awesome game for those times you feel like tearing people's throats out and showering in the fountain of blood, when you feel like hearing the crunch of your enemies bones and see them scream, when you feel like blowing shit up into a giant fireball and when you feel like turning paradise into a blood soaked battlefield. It's violent, It's gory and It's war on steroids.

:palm:

Okay....

1. They sent Mendicant Bias to combat the Gravemind, they didn't think it was feasible that he could loose but he was corrupted, something they couldn't comprehend, the Flood was not a major threat if any before the Flood had Bias with them.

2. The Librarian, the Didacts wife, took the DNA of every specie sin the galaxy and placed them on the ark, after Halo was fired they were restored on their planets. There is a good possibility that the Forerunners are either still alive but inactive, or pulled a precursor and went out of the Galaxy (Slipspace taking two hours from our galaxy to Andromeda)

So all in all you don't know anything your talking about, and are going off things you knew when it was still a mystery or off second hand statements, goodbye.

You want to know my personal favorite of palpatine's abilities?

The ability to use the Life force of his very subjects to keep himself alives and increase his power.

He used an entire Planet of billions for that Method, It kept him all but Immortal and increasingly more and more powerful.

The ability to create and control a force storm? Insanely impressive, The ability to duel five jedi master's and kill four of them in a matter of moments? Again impressive but nothing compared to that one trick.

UNSC starts reclamation early and the Covenant races try to hop on board since they are just in the 27th century (Believe takes place in this century.)

Forerunners proceed to attack and wreck whoever they want because they don't like it when you go against the Mantle of Responsibility, and they might give the Mantle to the Tau because the Greater Good is defiantly in line with the Mantle and have tea time with the Eldar.
"For too many years, humanity was on the backfoot. Reacting to threats, rather than preventing them. Rest of the galaxy was bigger than us. Stronger than us. We were mice, hiding in the shadows, hoping the giants would not see us. No more. Humanity is no longer on the defense. We are the giants now."

Tau would definitely be up for alliances. They're the sanest and "cleanest" of the races.

Orks could be "persuaded" into joining the Mandalorians perhaps(since both possess a love for war).

Eldar usually only have their missions hunting stuff down, so they wouldn't be too problematic(as long as they don't screw with shit).

Necrons want to destroy anything that goes under the category of "living" or "capable of providing life"

Chaos will always be fighting, especially with Spaces Marines, so there is no diplomacy with either.

The Imperial Guard are cannon fodder and shouldn't be an issue, since their navies would be blasted to smithereens before they could even deploy. And even if they did deploy, thousands B1 battle droids would work to keep them at bay.

Tyranids can't be talked to, since they just want to rape every living thing and inject them with their own genes.

And I personally believe the Chaos gods got nothing against the Force. Unlike warp users, Force users are not subject to spontaneous combustion or cranial explosions(or soul possessions, though the Dark Side is simply when the force is used for selfish and evil things. The Force is neutral). The Force also seems to have more beneficial powers(such as battle mediation and safely firing lighting from your finger tips)
