I was raised on Legos, but I never owned Bionicles, because I had the more traditional legos, and most of them came from my Dad's childhood.

So my friend asked me earlier what type of bender I would be, disregarding if I was the Avatar, and I was torn between Fire and Earth. What type of benders would you guys be?

Tough call between air and fire for me. On the one hand, gliders, flight, tornados, limited weather control. On the other hand, I am a shameless pyro and use of fire (or lightning) could be really convenient for a lot of things.
