I wish it was possible to level up in Dewford town.

I'm four or five levels above the wild pokemon here but still four or five levels below the gym leader so I'm stuck...

Thought about it but I usually stay away from pokemon that won't be useful in the future/can't level up to be useful in the future
I'm currently (failing at) trying to train an Aron I just caught because I know that an Aggron will be useful all the way to the Elite 4 and beyond

Also the fact that then there will be a huge level gap that I most likely won't have the chance to make up for by the time I get to Gym 3

I've been thinking of reasons why I never really played many of the games.

On top of them being really basic, kinda shitty RPGs... They're almost all handheld games.

The only handheld consoles I've ever owned were a first-edition GameBoy, which I never played Pokémon on and it was my cousin's, and I gladly gave it back to him, and a GameBoy Advance SP, and I lost it in the fire after not using it for 3 years.

Fully grown adult here, been playing Pokemon since Pokemon Blue on the Gameboy and I don't see myself stopping playing it anytime soon.

Also, Plz don't diss handheld consoles, that's where all the creative games are showing up. (When they're not on PC.)

Oh, just off the top of my head and likely forgetting several: My sister. My mother. At least two of my best friends. Several dozen of my classmates. According to my Streetpass plaza, upwards of 1000 people that were at Fanime...

Or you can just take a look at the ESA's set of 2014 statistics, which point out nearly half of all gamers are women, with sizable stats for people playing on smartphones or wireless devices.

Of course, while one's tastes in specific games is obviously quite subjective, one does have to wonder at the point of wandering in to a thread clearly about Pokemon just to make some highly negative commentary about something you've claimed to lack much interest in. Perhaps your time would be better spent participating elsewhere about things you actually like?

EDIT TO ADD: Also, back on the topic of Pokemon, beat the Fairy gym last night. Wasn't too bad actually, though it probably helped that my main 'mons are all upward of level 50 right now.

The gyms and elite 4 in XY were way too easy, despite the fact that they are leveled significantly higher than their counterparts in other gens. From the third gym to the pokemon league, all my pokemon were 10-20 levels higher than my opponents. I have no idea how it happened.

Man I WISH that was the case for my run in B2. I was consistently ten to fifteen levels below the gym leader.
I think at least half of my Black 2 run was grinding in the Castelia sewers.

I hope they keep the exp share method, its so much better than what i used to do, which was greind my starter, catch high level wild pokemon to batlle gym leaders and then hope my elite 4 team is good enough
