Answer: Because five thousand words is already pretty lengthy for something we're doing in our spare time.

Look for NaNoWriMo if you're wanting to tackle something larger. Or a publisher.

I just couldn't really follow what was happening exactly which makes me feel like I've failed somehow, it's frustrating, but it might just be my fault.
