The first time I fired upon one, in my T-46 with the standard 45mm gun, was a very, very unpleasant experience.

Point-blank shot at its rear? did 3% damage.

At the time, I didn't realise how armoured the Churchill was. If I did, I would never have attempted to fire upon it.

Unless it works in a pack of roaming Churchills.

I've seen and been in those. Its much fun.

"And there they are! A rare pack of Churchill Heavy Tanks! Most likely in search of prey. Ah! Watch as the young, naive light tanks come up and attempt to ram them, the Churchills look down on the tank, wondering why it was attacked them. The leader of the pack then proceeds to block in the light tank as they start to fire at it, killing it quickly. The tanks rumble on, looking for more prey to feed their hunger for XP. However, in the bushes a lone, young Hetzer lays in wait for them. The Hetzer is followed by his Mother, a StuG III. The mother is teaching her child how to hunt the lumbering Churchills. The StuGs are the natural predator when faced against Churchills, capable of easily penetrating the thick skin.

We hear rumbling inside the tank, she must be loading AP to make sure her first shot counts, as a kill shot to pack of Churchills is the easiest way to make them scatter. She takes careful aim and fires. The center Churchill is suddenly hit, its engine spuddering and coming to an end, the pack begins to scatter, scared of the unknown assailant. The mother drives back, letting her child fire the final shot. His round hits the rear side, ending the pain of the Churchill. The two tanks rumble away from the short ambush, happy of their winnings. The pack of Churchills now move throughout the land, attempting to find each other. However, as night falls, they will surely not survive to see the morning, as the packs of mediums hunt for such vulnerable tanks."

^ National Tankographic on the Churchill /o/o

And now, we continue with our broadcast of WoT: A Battle of Survival.

"As the Churchills left the field, they began to scatter. We followed a Churchill into a fairly wooded area, he kept on slowly, keeping his distance from us, still shaken from the attack before. It is the fault of many Churchills. Such broken pride can make one simply fall into complete rage and get itself killed before it knows what even happened. The tank stopped in the woods, it traversed its turret slowly, keeping its eyes out. The wooded area provided little cover for such a tank, but was however devoid of large bushes, meaning this was a safer place for such heavy tanks. It was moving at normal speeds, easier enough for us to keep up even on foot. The tank began to warm up to us, however as it did so, a massive explosion happened before us and the tank. We knew exactly what it was: A Hummel.

The 150mm gunned Hummel SPG was one of the most feared tanks in all of the land, the Churchill began to run at a quick pace, its engine bellowing thick black smoke as it rushed forward, it began to fire into the tree line, spotting a scout that had most likely been telling the SPG of the prime target. More explosions happened, we counted 4 more. An entire battery of Hummels were firing on the poor tank made quick work of it. The light tank sped out of its cover, it was a VK 1602, one of the fastest tanks known. A Cheetah of Armor per say. We waited for a few minutes, watching the VK 1602 secure the local area waiting for something. Another VK 1602 joined as the sounds of approaching engines came out way. Soon we found ourselves face to face with a massive group of tanks, or 'Platoon' as they are called, rumbling by. Panzer IVs, Panthers, Tigers, and Hummels moved on. They were centered around a massive Maus Super Heavy Tank. Few such tanks existed in the wild, most had been captured by 'Wargaming.net' years before for its gladiator-esque fighting league as had been many of the heavy tanks.

As they left out cameras, we soon heard the sound of a fight and moved to quickly find out."
