Haven't seen the newest episode yet (thank goodness for on demand and PVR), and I'm honestly not sure what to expect this season, but I hope it'll be better and more entertaining than the last.

Season 7 was probably the worst they've done. I honestly had more fun bingeing Z Nation on Netflix than I did the entirety of the last season. It had it's good moments, but most of it was filler. The sooner they get to that "time jump", the better.

That's why I got hooked on it, that and all the characters are likable. Especially Doc.

On Walking Dead on the other hand, there's only a few characters left that I'm really invested in and hope not to see die. Many of my favorites have already been killed off.

"The Damned"
This whole episode was an hour long gunfight...and I'm still bored.
Just people shooting redshirts for 60 minutes. And looks like Hippie Morgan is coming back. Super...

I disagree. This episode was a lot better than the previous one. Although maybe it was because I always forget Aaron's name (in my head, he's Sam) and I spent the whole episode failing to remember it.
I don't think so though because they actually managed to make me forget that they had left the Gabriel/Negan thread dangling and that habit has been annoying me for years.

That was actually kind of a lousy episode. The narrative and writing is all over the place. Ezekiel is just too much. And what was with the corny close-ups of everybody's faces at the beginning and end? I'm too attached to the show to quit watching, but I hope they get this back on track quick.

Fear The Walking Dead is so much better right now.

Too much other shit going on in that episode to remember it. I didn't until I read news about the episode and saw him mentioned in the articles I was reading.

While it was nice to see them taking the war to the Saviors, I agree that TWD's formula is starting to get overdone. They need to start shaking things up and soon. The sooner they finish the "all out war" arc, the better.

Fear has a much better season than TWD's last season.

It was at the very beginning of the episode.

Rick and Carl stumbled upon a lost, starving young Muslim dude on his own. He begged them for mercy/help. Rick ran him off, but Carl felt bad and left him food and a note.

Agreed. I think the "All Out War" arc is going to be at least the entire season though. I don't think TWD wants to get rid of Jeffery Dean Morgan and the Negan character so quickly. Plus it would seem cheap and forced if the "war" was won so quickly and easily after all this build-up.

Things...existed. Not really happened. Just existed. This episode either sets something probably ultimately insignificant up (no balls to fuck shit up) or the things that happened are ultimately irrelevant. The machineguns that need a small team to operate them were saved for last and were on screen at the very end for a few seconds, and the scene shown for the next episode shows another one shooting at Daryl but he still looks perfectly fine anyway so...

What fucking ever.

I would argue that the last couple of episodes have been like an action movie where the fight goes on too long. At a certain point you're waiting for more plot development... and 70 minutes to find out the princessguns are in another castleoutpost is too much. I was okay with having the first two episodes the way that they are but with the prospect of a fourth in this vein looming... you can do this sort of thing if you have your audience's faith.

I read somewhere that the programme is tracking closely with the comics. That's a problem. I've looked at the comics for these. I have 0 interest in ever picking up another one.

They need to shake the audience harder then they did with Negan's first episodes. Shred the plot armor. Maybe the episode with Rick's fantasy and his teary-eyed self means shit's going to get fucked. I hope so. It's a zombie apocalypse still.

They just can't kill Jerry. Unless Jerry is protecting the King, then Jerry is allowed to die, for that is a noble death.

I want the Walking Dead to come to a conclusion. I have suggested several ways that they could do this. I do not want it to reach a conclusion without knowing what happened to Heath.

This last episode... I feel like if you rammed some of the second and third episode into it and the first episode, you'd have a half decent series. As it is I was really not looking forward to watching the episode and maybe these low expectations made it seem better than it was but, hey, I thought it was better.

They handled multiple plot lines and even brought a couple of them together to a point they can move on with. Good job.

Father Gabriel is totally bit like a motherfucker. I like him now, and the only thing he's missing is quoting some of the more awesome lines from the Bible, like quips in an Arnold action movie. He's dead now tho. Or going to die.

That episode was a lot better. Addressed long standing issues with how they put things together. Interesting stuff going on as well... if you read this Ameri see if this episode makes you care again (don't watch the previous one though).

I don't think Gabriel was bitten. I think that was the writers' following up on Negan's fridge moment what with "shouldn't this cause disease?"

I'm really intrigued by the helicopter to be honest. Maybe it's Heath. (He found a new group which just so happens to be some holdover of the previous society... last episode they were suggesting a machine gun could clear the herd pinning in the Saviours. If that was possible there'd never be a zombie apocalypse. But what if it was possible just not executed by any force from Virginia to Georgia or anywhere FTWD has been and it's taken this long to get to Virginia? Show has been trying to wrap up this entire time. Last couple of episodes are Negan and Rick on trial for their crimes.)
