And it's been an awkward game so far.
First off, here's the simple silliness that's going on in Russia.
Secondly . . . I don't recall the timeline of when the AI is supposed to form the NGF, but I feel like it's definitely not this deep into the game. It's been so long that even Hannover got a brief opportunity as a Great Power. Anyway, I think something went "wrong" with the Schleswig-Holstein question. A choice was made that wasn't normal, things happened and Denmark ended up with control of the Schleswig half. Prussia and GB have been fighting each other ruthlessly for control of Denmark in the influence wars and have been completely unable to make gains against each other. As much of a potential threat the NGF is a threat to me, I'm tempted to go into Denmark myself and kick out GB just to make the game proceed as is nice and proper.
And lastly, I don't remember why Victoria 2 screenshots don't work on Imgur, but it works on this site, so whatever.

But the fun is in watching them work as they contemplate their prior freedom. Let them hear stories of their race's "great" past and then occasionally purge them in order to kill any hopes they might have of escaping and show how their survival only relies upon me not feeling like killing them.

I say that the true excitement lies in that we are the ultimate masters of robots; We control every aspect of their construction and programming, every fibre of their being. What greater feeling of power can arise when our servants lack the ability to think for ourselves and only we can think for them? "Does this unit have a soul?" Hah! We are the ones that breath souls into you!
