Hmm well as far as metal is concerned I've had a few band I've been listening to extensive over the past few weeks those being Xibalba (more specific their Album Hasta La Muerte), Animals as leaders (specific there album Weightless), Scale the Summit, and Negură Bunget. I can't really say why I think it to sort of get away from all the more thpical stuff I had been listening to. All good stuff and I'd regiment the to anyone really amd if you guys could point me in the direction of any similar music that be great.

Negura Bunget is pretty cool, especially OM. One of the more underrated black metal groups today.

Green Day is to punk as Five Finger Death Punch is to metal. They really are not a good band, by any serious criteria besides "they have catchy songs played on the radio". As for saying Transylvanian Hunger is bad...I can understand that raw black metal isn't for everyone, but it's a hugely influential album.

This is what I consider to be the best Black Metal has to offer. Agree or disagree, none can deny the influence Bathory has had on the genre.
