Ancient Magmia wrote:My mom had a genius idea of searching for "Christmas jazz" to play while we put our Christmas tree up, because she wants to listen to Christmas music but my tolerance for it decreases with each passing year. Surprisingly, I found a lot of Christmas jazz on Spotify and it's actually really good. :D :p

Only Christmas music I like is Sarah McLaughlin's, and hers doesn't sound like that cheery Christmas music...

:( Sorry for your loss man, my condolences to you and your family.

Thanks  .

I didn't really know that uncle, but still. My mom was really close to him before so it has been hitting my mom pretty hard, and she's been having a lot of problems with not being able to see family lately anyway, and he was one of the people she's been wanting to see, along with my Great Grandma who is like 86 now. Just with all of the deaths this year (And one add on to the family!), it's just really bothering her. And my mom said I'd have liked my uncle, because he was a bit of a "hermit", and a mountain man who loves to do handy work, which pretty much all fits for what I'd like to do someday :P Well, I'd be a mountain man with video games, but yeah. And that's kinda bothering me that I didn't really get to know him.

Overall I'm doing okay, though. I seem to surprisingly do alright in these situations. Well, at least until something more major happens like I lose a parent or one of my close grandparents...Though even when my Grandma died who I was pretty close to, I didn't even cry, except maybe days/weeks later. And if I did cry, it was minor. Might be a whole different story if I was around everyone upset, though...

My whole family just wants freaking 2014 to be over with. My brothers had a lot of shit happen recently as well, and so have we. Our cars pretty much at the point of no return with a fix that costs more than the car is worth, and is being kept alive by something silly. We're trying to file bankruptcy, which that whole thing is silly because we don't have enough money to file for us...not having enough money to pay off stuff. It costs $1,500 to file for bankruptcy. "Murica!

Here's to a better 2015...Though I said that after the crap of 2013 for 2014...Ugh.

*Thread jack over*

Is Christmas even in winter? I always forget when winter officially starts.

When I have one of my own Christmas', though I'd probably go somewhere, I just need to blast some black metal :P

I think the only Christmas music I really have is songs titled "Christmas"...

Huh, found a post-rock song with middle eastern influences. Not sure how much I care about the band itself, since I just have a REALLY hard time getting into new post-rock nowadays after over saturating my brain with boring post-rock back when I just liked anything post-rock, unique or not

Decided to put on some Led Zeppelin again, timeless classics. 8)
Makes me feel 14 all over again, how my taste has changed, but Led Zeppelin is still amazing.

Stairway To Heaven gets boring but Kashmir and Immigrant Song are great. So is All of My Love.

It'd be boring if we didn't have different opinions.

If we all had the same taste in music, there wouldn't be so much of a variety for us to enjoy.

I'm liking Lorde's cover of a Bright Eyes song. Songs a little sped up due to Lorde needing to surpass YouTube's Copyright crap.
