Further, it's just Applejack stubbornly insisting that she's right.
The Poison Joke didn't turn out to be a curse anyway.
I just thought the line about old pony tales was interesting given the Series opener. As for Twilight considering Nightmare Moon as an old pony tale, that's not what happened in the show.Twilight Sparkle: Ah! Elements, Elements, E, E, E... Aha! Elements of Harmony, see: Mare in the Moon?
Spike: Mare in the Moon? But that's just an old ponies' tale.
Twilight Sparkle: Mare, mare... aha! The Mare in the Moon, myth from olden pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria, defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal! [gasp] Spike! Do you know what this means?
Spike: No-- whoa!
[smack]
Spike: Ow!
Twilight Sparkle: Take a note please, to the Princess.
Spike was the one that thought it was an old pony tale, Twilight however thought it was important and serious enough to write to Princess Celestia about.
You're right about everything else though.
Twilight Sparkle: Ugh, here I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony but, silly me, all this ridiculous friend-making has kept me from it! "Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night." I hope the Princess was right... I hope it really is just an old ponytale...

Even though Twilight did initially believe the story was true, she did, in the same episode, entertain the idea that the story was false, with her superior's endorsement, or at least how she read the Princess' response after she informed her:Twilight Sparkle: Ugh, here I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony but, silly me, all this ridiculous friend-making has kept me from it! At that time, we could consider her to be "on the fence" of the matter. In fact, given this there is even more of a curious parallel between the pilot and Bridle Gossip, as Twilight eventually came to entertain the idea that the curse did exist but eventually had her old suspicions confirmed.

No, Ameri Is a Brony, he's just a different sort, not bad, just different. To be honest I kind of like him.
In days of old the great emperors used to employ men to critizise them, so they didn't get too full of themselves.
I'm tempted to say that's the role Ameri fills in this thread.

Twilight Sparkle: My magic, real magic, comes from within. It's a skill you're born with. Curses are artificial, fake magic. It's conjured with potions and incantations; all smoke and mirrors meant to scare. But curses have no real power, they're just an old pony tale.
Applejack: Just you wait, Twilight. You're gonna learn that some pony tales really are true.
Wait...didn't Twilight Sparkle defeat Nightmare Moon and brought back Princess Luna all because of an old pony tale?
Also, am I the only one who noticed the fandom is creating more work of art (whether it's drawing or writing) based on Season 2 than Season 3?
I've noticed a distinct lack of fics with Twilicorn, unless they specifically are about what it's like running shit. Could be that it's because it hasn't really been introduced yet, or it could be people just ignoring it.

Well Meghan McCarthy did say that she considered Season 3 finale part one of a three parter. I think the reason we haven't seen any Twilicorn fanfic is that the fandom is waiting for more canon bombs. Why invest a lot of time and energy into writing a fanfic when canon is just going to ruin it?
