[Question 2] "Malicious content"

Postby Misley » Mon Nov 23, 2015 5:04 pm

Frisbeeteria's motto is "Death to all fanatics!"

According to my GHR, this is not actionable.

How is this not a custom field violation? How is this different from, say, "Death to all fascists!" or "Death to all communists!" or "Death to all libertarians!"

Or are all of these acceptable mottos, also?

There's a clear difference between the motto you've complained about versus the examples you've given.

"Fanatics" have no boundaries, "fascists", "communists", and "libertarians" are clearly one specific group of people. So no, it's not actionable.

So it's okay to wish death on people as long as you're not specific?

Can I go change my motto to "Death to all y'all"? Because we don't know who "y'all" are, right?

The literal translation of this is "Frisbeeteria can do it, but I wouldn't if I were you."

Individual cases are judged individually. We don't entertain hypotheticals, something you should know.

I'm sorry you jumped to this conclusion, but the fact of the matter, as Farn says, is that it is still a case by case basis on every situation that comes up as similarly as this.

Only a fanatic would say something like that, so it's actually either ironic or a suicide note. Given that it's been my motto for about 10 years now, I'd say I'm aiming for "ironic".
