All I request is an explanation as to why my third and final post was in violation of the rules despite me not resorting to petty insults and benign name-calling.
After shooting my mouth off at the Moderators twice, I had ultimately realized that I shouldn't be saying anything else, be it justified or not. I had initially said the Moderators were "retarded" (rightful violation), then I said they "weren't the sharpest knife in the drawer" (I guess that's a violation), and then I finally got the hint and shut up.
Instead, I wrote some advice to the Moderators instead of insults, which, for some reason, got me a RMB ban anyway. This is where I am confused. I did wrong the first two times, but I do not consider the thurd time wrong.
For the sake of review and because the post was deleted, here is a summary of what I wrote:
- I first said that the Moderators were "thin skinned". That was not an insult, but an opinion. It means they are easily offended and can't take any jokes. I don't see how that violated the rules.
- I said that the "Mod-Nazi" insult I used a few days ago (and haven't since) was "funny" and that it was a benign joke that in no way means they are mass murdering anti-Semites.
- I used examples from my own career in power to show that I have seen far worse than simply claiming that someone was "retarded", including coordinated character-assasinations and smear campaigns designed to destroy me both on the site and emotionally. I listed some examples of the names I was called for reference.
- I said their skin was so thin that an unflattering nickname like "Mod-Nazi" is enough to threaten a ban, they shouldn't be governing until they can suck it up and learn and not take benign name-calling to heart.
"Thin skinned" means that someone is easily offended. It is not meant to be name-calling or an insult. Also, and this may be a cultural difference due to us living in different parts of the world, but "suck it up" is not an euphamism or a sexual comment, nor is it an insult. It is very similar to phrases like "grow up", "put on your big boy pajamas", and "grow a pair", though not as rude as that last one, and has no insulting meaning in my culture.
Thank you for your reply.

P.S.: The last post I wrote under an alternate account (that I had for years before this) was not an insult. Why was it deleted?
