I constantly go in under the "User Control Panel" to change my sig. However I have a question. What is this "warning level" thing I keep seeing on the bottom half of the opening screen? Mine is at 2, so I'm becoming concerned.
Help?

That rather depends on the nature of the warnings. We consider the nature and the severity of the offence - and, if appropriate, the individual's track record - when deciding on how to act.
There are no hard and fast rules.
Thank you for answering this. I am aware of what I did last time I was warned (which was the morning) for a possibly offensive banner. I have posted alternatives as a result. I have no idea what the first one was about.

If you (or anyone) is interested in learning your complete moderation record, you can file a GHR with the request. Your warning level will go down after time. (I think warnings "expire" on the counter after 6 months.) Of course, moderation does continue to review your entire record when determining what actions should be taken in the event of future infractions.

Sorry, I don't mean to spam, thought I could ask if this means that there's no point where warnings "expire" completely?

While the counter will go down after 6 months, we retain the record mainly for the purpose of review. Generally, the further back in time an infraction is, the less bearing it will have on determining mod response to a new one. Obviously there are some exceptions, for instance somebody who gets a bunch of warnings/bans for, as an example, repeatedly trolling the same group of people. If they disappear for several months, and go right back to trolling that same group of people upon their return, we're going to look less favorably on the guy than we would somebody who has a bunch of warnings for trolling a specific group, keeps his nose clean, and then slips up and flames somebody months later. The former indicates an ongoing and unchanged pattern of problem behavior; the latter is more indicative of somebody who's got a history and maybe just was having a crappy day.
