There are only 4 views in a Falkland thread

My view that the British should be contained at all costs

The Argentine view that it is Falklands is Argentina

The American view that ranges from support to Argentina/ United Kingdom ( They are not really consistent)

and the British view that Falklands/Antarctica is British

You need to understand that none of these people will ever agree with each other, you need to have a moratorium on Falklands threads


Now you see the other side of the argument gets emotional, resorts to personal attacks and uses every trick in the book, it is bearable upto a point, there is no point in having them, every time you have a falklands thread, people would parrot the same things, i would feel the need to get involved as i see this british expansionism, the Argentines would come and say it is Argentina, the British would go on claiming that falklands is theirs to keep forever, the americans would either support or not support falklands, there is never going to be an agreement on this, I would blame the British and the British would blame me. and the Argentines would blame the british and the americans would choose any side they like, this is not a topic that should be debated, i see this as the british claiming foreign territories and the British see this as their territory, there is no point seriously, you guys need to stop this

If people never agreeing was at all a criteria for banning a thread, NSG would be completely dead. I see no reason at this juncture to ban the topic, anymore than there's a need to ban any of the other myriad topics NSG likes to thrash out repeatedly.

It's almost as though there are two aggrieved, opposing parties on the topic and the international community of this site is deciding to add their opinion to it.

I have to say that I'm really confused as to why you continually give your all into putting your opinion across when you have literally no vested interest (apart from your opinion of British world domination attempts) in the outcome of the Falklands issue.
Not that I can claim innocence on that point, with the effort I lend to supporting the gun debate on this site.
