I didn't see the folks who needed to look here available, so I asked for a link or repost so perhaps it might be there for when they got back. Not stepping in, overruling, or looking any further that that - and as I said, calling it 'at a glance' without making further ruling. It's my guess that your inability to recognize those posts as being baitish may be your problem - that's all I said there, without commenting further on how or why the mods that were involved made whatever calls they did. Had I seen them in an already hotly debated topic, I'd have called them baiting. End of.

Clarification of why they might be was asked for, I offered an opinion based on other things I've seen. That's pretty much it. Afraid for anything actually workable, you'll have to wait for the others to drop back in, and take another look. I've long since referenced it in our other forum so it won't be missed, and they don't have to rely on irc or anything to know there's a question waiting.

And you would have been wrong. If Liriena's posts constituted a baiting then most of your posts in this thread, and your abusive TG to me for asking a simple question would warrant a look over by the Mods.

I would imagine that you can take from this that individual incidents will continue to be dealt with individually, and that attempting to rules-laywer and get around the rules tends to be viewed rather dimly.

I wasn't calling the player in question childish. I called his "ditto" post childish. I also called it cute, false and irrelevant.

Which brings me back to the core issue of my inquiry: Is attacking posts in a snarky fashion actionable now? Tsar claimed that my posts "stacked up". How? How do attacks on posts "stack up" to attacking the poster?

EDIT: And while we are at it, why can't I enter the thread in question? You know, the one that is being reviewed here? Has it been deleted?

You were told to tone down the snark. Mods will intervene when they see participants in a thread getting too snarky, as it can lead to rules violations down the line. That's what happened here, and Tsar was correct to do so.

Since you didn't even get an unofficial warning on your record, there's nothing more to discuss here.
