I'm not sure where I implied, even tangentially, that Leave voters were stupid. I'm assuming you're referring to the line "the Brexit has just gone so strange and so stupid so fast"; this was a reference to the Brexit as a situation, not Leave voters (who I think have, at best, been fed a farrago of lies and are mostly now regretting their choices). Sure, I think Leave voters made the wrong choice, but so did the people who chose not to vote at all; neither implies that those people are stupid.

Personally, yes, I am somewhat offended by your "implication"; I think it's a very thin tissue over what is, essentially, a personal attack. I will not, however, be touching it myself in a Moderatorial capacity.

I'd point out that there was absolutely no malicious intent in my post, and I specifically put the "twisted evil" emoticon there to make it very clear that I considered what I was asking to be just that.
It was a post made at a point when it was clear remain had lost, and was intended to make fun of the desperate nature of our situation, that it was either admit defeat or commit mass murder.

Using an emoticon to make a statement that could be deemed as offensive, to excuse it, doesn't make it okay. Especially in a thread where emotions are likely to run high. Kyrusia's judgment is one I agree with.

The intent of a post (while sometimes hard to judge), is a very important factor when determining whether or not it is actionable.

I assumed that, since I was not actually advocating death but making what was intended to be a light-hearted point about the result (in the same vein as an earlier discussion of a military coup), and had (quite intentionally) made efforts to communicate that in my original post, that it was not actionable.

See, this is when they try to project the accusations I've made of them onto me. Its superifically effective when they have widespread support. But really just shows a profound lack of imagination and integrity. There's little use in me just denying it and pushing the ball back in their court to be thrown back: but I'm not the one throwing a fit. I'm pointing out how I do not think sufficient reason has been given for my banning, and that under the precedents set; you should get a harsher punishment. On the other hand, the moderators are the ones randomly banning people to preserve their very fragile egos.
