I've added a box to the Settings page so that you can set a particular theme as default for your nation. This will apply the selected theme whenever you're logged in as that nation, even if you visit the home page (i.e. http://www.nationstates.net instead of century.nationstates.net).
For me the chosen theme for my main nation transfers over to my puppets as well when I log into and out of them on the same computer. (Which I like.)

If you stay on the http://century.nationstates.net subdomain, you'll see Century no matter who you're logged in as. You need to return to http://www.nationstates.net to see the default style again.

I also refer to the forums. When can the new look apply to them?

You know what would be neat? A little feature called "Quick Link" I just thought of, thanks to that guy above me whose name I am too lazy to find out. The user would be able to be semi-logged in to any nation he wanted and fully logged in to whatever nation he wanted to post on the forums with. There would be a form in Settings that said "Add a Quick Link nation." You follow that link to get a page that allows you to log in to a new nation. You put in the username and password. The nation that you chose would be your user nation at that point in time, as it was the most recent you logged in to. Then you can add another, and another.

Either make a link that says "Quick change your nation" somewhere in the gray bar above or put it in settings, and it allows you to switch between accounts without logging out or entering a password.

I've removed the minimum height setting from the Century RMB, so short posts now take up less vertical space.

That sounds handy, but you're proposing a significant new feature. What I'm doing here is changing how things look.

True. Can you see how the forum board would look if you upped the flag sizes to the edge of the "Online" banner? While maintaining aspect ratio, of course.

Is the WA logo in the left sidebar to stay (the one that says Nation name, issues, telegrams etc.)?

Banner switch!

The green globe banner, which has been getting good feedback lately, is now the Century default, with the other one available via your Settings page as "Century (desaturated)".

A few more tweaks:
  • Top-right "Login" button becomes "Switch" when logged-in
  • "Logout" link moved from sidebar to banner
  • Banner links have background shading
  • WA background emblem only displays on nations who are WA members
There are still a bunch of horrendous bugs in Internet Explorer, most notably the fact that the sidebar falls to the bottom of the screen at lower resolutions.

Love the new theme, would love it even more if it worked on the forums... ;) ;)

EDIT:

People are still using Internet Explorer! WHY!? Why not use Firefox or Opera (not Chrome, another one that just wants to collect your browsing info) they're faster, easier to use, and more customizable.

Okay, now that's stopped--the theme for my main country is only active when I log in to that account.

I guess I don't understand why div classes are being used to simulate a table, when a real html table would make life so much easier for wierd blind folks like myself.

I mean superficially, it looks like a table. Why not make it in to a table?

It doesn't bother me too much s long as I keep the option for the old default theme (thanks for that option in the settings) but I am perplexed all the same.

If the forum used tables you'd here tons more from me. This is of course a really good reason not to change them ;)

The updates to the banner links (Login/out + Switch) plus defaulting to the green theme are great! Can't believe all the hard work you're putting into this, but it is looking fantastic and I am even warming up to the larger banner size! I only use Safari on Mac, and from what I can tell everything works perfectly here (as one would expect :] )

Holy Cow! I just saw the Logout button has gone from the sidebar - brilliant! Thank you so much!
