Upon browsing the population statistics of my nation, I noticed that there was zero growth on August 23rd of 2016. I checked the other nations in my region and found the same thing. I then began to check select nations at random off the forum and found the same thing: 8-23-16 saw no population growth. This, needless to say, is strange.

So- what's up with this?

I think nationstates was down atbthat time so populations did not update.

Maybe it's just something we face from time to time. I've had it happen here and there.

Mods don't have stats broken down by date that far back. It's more along the lines of "today, last week, last month, and last year". The annual stuff didn't get turned on until sometime in September or October, so I can't tell you what happened in August.

That said, there have been a number of times in the past where update was hung, or had to be stopped for various reasons (maintenance, etc). Aug 23 could have been one of those days.
