Quick question about founders and delegates

Postby Buljikhania » Mon Jan 11, 2016 6:12 pm

I'll make this short and simple. If your region founder ceases to exist and the WA delegate is non-executive does the delegacy automatically become executive? If this is true then what happens if the founder re-founds his nation? Does the position automatically become non-executive again or would he have to join the region again and turn it off?

When the founder of the region ceases to exist, the Delegate becomes executive by circumstances and if the founder is refounded and moves back to the region the Delegate is non-executive again

I don't know what happens, but what I previously thought was that the rf'd founder would come back and need to manually take away the delegate's authority. However, they would not have to actually be in the region, because they can operate it remotely. And yes, the delegate will become executive if the founder CTEs.

Right, founders can ban/eject, edit the WFE,etc without even being in the region, but like I and also Leppikania, said the Delegate will automatically gain executive authority

This will be recovering the others points, but I'll say my understanding.

If a founder leaves their region, or CTE's, the region's WA delegacy will become executive, if not already executive.

The founder can edit powers from outside of the region, but cannot make the delegacy non-executive unless they are in the region itself, and they will need to do this manually after every time they leave the region.
As always, I'm representing myself.

Thanks for clarifying

Short answers.

Yes.

They can come back and get all rights they had originally. They can unban themselves too. :D

The founder would have to turn it off.

Once again, you are posting with incorrect information. If the founder revives, the Delegate is not automatically reset to non-executive. We happened to have a rather embarrassing incident awhile back involving that precise scenario because a founder CTEd and was revived, but nobody realized that the delegate needed to be reset to non-executive status.

When I moved back to my region, the Delegate position beame non-executive automatically, how do you explain that then huh if you think I'm so incorrect, and what do you mean "again."

By 'again', we mean - for example - this: viewtopic.php?p=27312904#p27312904

Socio polor, let me make something very clear to you:

There is no vacancy in the moderation team.

You are not under consideration for the moderation team.

Furthermore, given your inability to take a hint, your recurring spamming of the forums, your attempts to claim that this spamming is the result of 'a relative' hacking your account, and your ongoing posting of incorrect information in the forums, there are absolutely no circumstances under which you would ever be under consideration for the moderation team.

I apologise if this seems forceful, but it's clear that we need to be unambiguous and direct about this.

Had the region updated yet? I suspect not. If you leave and come back before the region updates the executive will not change.

If you don't know, then why would you post? There is a maxim in the technical thread that states "If I don't know, I should not post". You know why that is? Because wrong information makes you and the people that follow it look really, really bad. You do very good work over in the Got Issues thread and I would hate for you to become completely ignored because you don't know when not to hit that post button.

It must have updated because when I returned to the region the Delegate automatically become non-executive. You tell me what happened. Of course that was when I was still new to the game

You're still new to the game, and your statements are just continuing to make your lack of knowledge about any of this stuff more and more apparent.

Since the question has been answered by a number of knowledgeable players in the meantime, however, iLock.
