My influence has never once budged from Minnow

Why is this? I've spent upwards of a year in some regions and it's never changed. Not once. Am I missing something?

If I remember correctly,
you have to be part of the world assembly, and attain a certain amount of endorsements from other nations to rise up in influence.
I hope this helps.

Incorrect. Everyone accumulates influence. WA nations with endorsements will accumulate it faster.
As of version 1.9, all nations have "Regional Influence," which is a measure of how important a nation is considered in its current region. Influence is determined by two factors: how much time the nation has spent in this region, and how many WA endorsements it has had over that time.

To answer the OP, from this page:
The "Regional Influence" label reflects how much Influence a nation has compared to others in its region only. A nation with few endorsements and a short residency in a small region may have a higher Regional Influence rank than one with many endorsements and a long residence in a large region.

Wait what? If I am reading this correctly... "A nation with few endorsements and a short residency in a small region may have a higher Regional Influence rank than one with many endorsements and a long residence in a large region." A nation that has few endorsements and short residency has HIGHER influence than someone with more endorsements and residency?

That doesn't make sense nor is that how a region should function... Again that is if I am reading this correctly.

Higher Regional Influence, yes. Regional influence is the relative term (Minnow, Vassal, etc) used to describe where you are in relation to the rest of the region you are in.

Think of it like a pie. If you have 3 people sharing a pie, you're each going to have a nice size slice. Now imagine sharing a pie with 600 people.

It's why most people in large regions have Minnow influence.

I understand. Thanks. But if think after spending a whole year in a region with 100 people (Before I went to 10KI) I would have at the very least moved up one peg.

Note that if you're in a region with 100 other nations, you'll have 1% of all the influence on average. If those other nations were already in there before you, and they stay (so not a large rotation of nations throughout the year) your comparative influence will remain well below 1%.
