I believe that happens when you try to use an invalid character (happened to me before with forum posts and telegrams). Not 100% sure though. Try just using letters, numbers, and/or punctuation (. ! ?) if you aren't already.

You should immediately send an email to the admin email address.

The apache error indicates it may be (plus some googling) a serverside issue, I would email that email or wait for [v] to find this thread.

Timeout problems are the bane of my life. I see them. I don't know what's causing them. They are usually impossible to reproduce.
