Peculiar problem. The forum says I'm a Libertarian Police State. Gameside says I'm a Benevolent Dictatorship. I know that sometimes changes gameside don't always sync up, but the weird part is, I have been a BD, with no changes, for years.

Rather than fixing this manually, I'm going to fly the Admin flag and see if somebody can figure out why this has started happening lately. This is the third or fourth such report this week.

All those categories are relatively close to each other. You're not answering any issues at all? Could the WA be influencing it?

They haven't answered any issues for more than 2 days and they're not in the WA, as you could see if you looked at their nation page. It's a problem with forums being out of sync.

I actually just noticed that my forum posts says I'm still an Anarchy but my nation page says I'm a Civil Rights Lovefest.

I appear to have stumbled upon a rather strange bug. Over the past week, twice has the national classification on my posts changed while the one in my country has not. Both times, it changed back after a single refresh. Once (last Friday, if memory serves) it was without NS++ enabled, and the second (this one this past Monday) with it enabled, so I know that it is not due to NS++. It happened again today again, and this time I grabbed a screenshot of it:

I am running Firefox 27 on Windows 7 Professional.

How odd. The common cause of this is a breakdown in communication between the gameside server and the forum server: your nation changes category but the forum doesn't get the message.

What's described here, though, is a nation being labeled as a government category in the forum that it never had. That is something else entirely.

I thought [violet]'s presence had scared the bug away, but it has returned. I'm desync'd to Libertarian Police State again without any change gameside.

*Update*: it switched to Capitalizt again.

Bumping as I've changed from Libertarian Police State to Left-Leaning College State. Still a Benevolent Dictatorship gameside. Haven't found a connection yet. It seems to happen whether I answer issues or not.

Giving this another gentle bump. Switched to Capitalizt today after no issues or WA Category change gameside.

It does seem to change at update.

This bug is affecting NStracker too. My friend's economy recently took a plunge down 20K GDPPC when his nation switched from an Anarchy to a Civil Rights Lovefest despite not answering any issues remotely pertaining to the economy. It's as though the statistics of the nation were randomly being changed on nationstates.
