Its starting to seem like Nationstates++ and NSWiki are going to become nothing but a footnote on the history pages of nationstates.

They better not be. Many worked very hard to get what remained of NSwiki up and running and maintained. I didn't do much with NS++, but I assume that required a lot of work to get started and requires attention to be maintained.

How can I abandon/cancel a running recruitment campaign that appears locked in to NS++?

Can I just start a new one using a different script?

Unless the red bar appears, it isn't actually sending any telegrams, so yes, you can use another script.

Do we still have regional IRC chat built in NS++ anymore?

Cheers Misley, just need a new API Key and I'll switch to Auralia's script

Are updates still being made to NS++? Because it feels like there's a whole host of issues that haven't been addressed for some time now.

Is the settings page not working for any other people, or is this just me?

Seems like NS++ is suffering from a severe case of neglect, but that's just my opinion.

Seriously. If the people who have volunteered to take over the project don't have time, that's completely understandable, but someone who has the time and is willing to take care of what needs to be done to keep it working should take the reins.

At this point, NS++ is just a glorified RMB mod - don't get me wrong, infinite reverse-chronological RMB with search right on the region pages is fantastic, but NS++ used to be a lot more.

Agreed. I'm disappointed, personally. Ditto on much of what Misely said as well. I'd put time into this as well, but in more recent times I've given up on trying to placate people here - all I can really do is say "wait for Elu" and that lost weight a while ago.

I tried asking Eluvatar via IRC when exactly it can be expected to be back up. Considering the fact that my region has 894 news articles on the regional news and they aren't backed up onto our forum completely yet. However, sadly I wasn't given an answer. I was simply told they aren't going the way of nswiki.net

I recently posted this on the technical forum:
LSI Founder wrote:Whenever I go into my region's RMB this comes up: (Image)
Instead of the usual "post message" button. Does anyone know if this is some kind of bug? The mods say that nothing is going wrong from their end and I've now discovered that it doesn't happen with NS++ disabled, but RMB messaging works on my other nation so I don't really understand what's going on with this one...

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

And they pointed me toward this thread.

Is there anything I can do other than disabling NS++ because I really value the extension on my other nation?

Run adwcleaner (free download), as this problem doesn't exist with NS++. I believe that there is one blog with solved issues that is infected with malware that disable many NS++ functions. Then simply re-install NS++ and then this problem is solved.

It's just bizarre because when I use the same computer and browser but for my other nation I don't have any problems :/
Will try running the program just in case though.

They have a new NS++ version if you re-install it as I did try it out. Now I see nothing from NS++ anymore. Even no puppet list: the update from NS++ is now "we track your activity on this forum, nationstates.net and www.nationstates.net".

Please don't follow my previous advice and don't remove the past version, you may disable it.

Well I didn't uninstall it but I did download NS++ again as a kind of update, I thought (before seeing your advice), and now the puppet list takes longer to load and it gives me the impression that I can post but when I go to submit the post it doesn't work :/ Hopefully I won't have to use this nation too much but it is a bit frustrating. Hopefully an NS++ representative will take a look at this conundrum sometime soon!!

Oh bloody hell... now the problem of seeing the message box but not being able to submit has spread to my main nation. This is ridiculous, I'm so annoyed... Come on NS++ - I thought you were awesome! Come to the rescue!!
